The ORIGINAL version of “Cosmic Universal Fashion”
This video was made by a fan, but the music is the original version of the song, which is not on Sammy’s new album.
“Gossett2006″, who made the video, writes: ‘This version of “Cosmic Universal Fashion is from the Baghdad Heavy Metal Album which Sammy Hagar contributed this (imo) better version of the song, first released in July 2007. This version sounds heavier, different, more complete, and to me, better than the more popular, other version which is the one on the album. Video is of images, complete with Sammy Hagar, the most recent of events, and the election of Obama most notably. The words to this song really describe the events of today with the election of Obama, the problems we have faced, that we still face and the threats that still loom. God Bless the U.S.A., Obama, and Sammy Hagar.’

To hell with Obama and everyone that voted for him and/or thinks his election was a good thing. The only worse possible choice than him would have been Biden and no we’re imperiled by having him installed as the “spare”. Morons. And so is the person who made the video and anyone who thinks Obama is the answer to ANYTHING. God save the USA and us FROM Obama and his mindless acolytes who haven’t a clue as to what is going on in the world and just how much more dangerous this man’s ascendence has made things.

what a tool! how can you say to hell with everyone who voted for obama (over half the country) and then say god save the USA? I sure hope you use birth control!!

So true. Much heavier and MUCH better. Although I did like Sammy’s video better.

I agree. Song was better but video could have been much better. How do you go with political pictures of Obama to random pictures of the band? Just stick with the better pics and leave Obama behind. This is a music video not a poltical rally. I know what the song is about but if you’re gonna have a video like that have a little more of a purpose then just showing you’re a democratic sammy fan.

I hate it when people put their own person politial agenda on someone else’s music. This song is not about Nobama and Sammy did not mean it that way. The Boss went to crap when he went political, like most musicians. I for one am glad that Sammy and VH stay completely clear of political agendas in their music. You can hear what you want to hear, this is America, but thank you Sammy for not getting involved in the political race and telling others how to vote like the left side with the Boss and Oprah. Thank you for just making good rock music!

I’m with Kevin. I’m extremely disappointed that VHND would put the “alternate” video on this site, complete with Obama’s mug in the first frame. I have always detested overt combinations of music and politics. Let’s keep this a VH site and a non-political site. If I want to discuss politics, I’ll go to a political site. I’m here to talk about music. PERIOD.

You know…Rock and Roll is supposed to make statements and define rebellion , passion and humanity…or it is supposed to do whatever it wants I suppose…Having said that , anytime some attractive institution ( such as rock and roll ) makes a foray into something as heartless and soulless as politics I am no less than disgusted and turned off ( not the same things I assure you )….

All to complicated for me, I’m more a ‘Panama-guy’.
I guess it’s an interesting song and video…

Dang, I was hoping to see a part where the creator of the video holds a Dixie cup to Obama’s crotch to catch the sweat from his nuts.

Good song; couldn’t hear too many differences between it and the released version.
People are going to use other people’s material for their agenda whenever possible so the use of Sam’s song by this guy for a seeming political use is no surprise.
What I found really strange was the picture of the Steelers’ coach. What the hell does he have to do with anything?
