Cool great to see Eddie looking good

Wonderful! Looks like he’s in good spirits. Let’s hope he discusses when the new VH cd comes out. It’s been ten long years and VH fans have been waiting patiently for a new release.

it’s good to EVH is looking good and feeling better than recent years. I applaud him. But I have to complain about some of the articles in guitar world, questions to artists are like ” why did you use Q345 Marshall Amp with a flux capacitor?” who cares!!! I hope this article is more about Eddie Van Halen the person and a new album by VH and not as much about the gear he uses.

Yeah, Ed looks great, but don’t get too excited about this interview. I have a feeling it’s gonna be a puff piece with a lot of technical info about the new guitar. I bet there will be little-to-no Van Halen info in here…at least nothing we can really chew on, anyway.
I hope I’m wrong.

it`s cool that he does this photo shoot for them…and you can expect the same questions on gear….and probably the same answers….maybe they will ask him what equipment they used on the tour….but there won`t be anything asked about his new girl, his health, or anything out of line ….this is a technical guide, not people magazine

Funny everyone is coming up with the same comments about Eddie looking great. I hope he mends things up with Mikey and Sammy. I’m in the minority but I much prefer Sammy over Dave and would like to see Sammy put out a new album with VH.

How many new guitars does EVH have to make? Didn’t he just have the Frankenstein Guitar remade? The fans want to know about him and the possibilities of new or unreleased material to come from the Van Halen vault or creative minds of the masters themselves. I really don’t want to read about a new guitar. Most of us can’t afford one anyway.

I hope he opens up on everything Van Halen? To just talk about his gear would be unjust! I mean he just did a tour with his kid and a stoppage of the tour with a lot of unanswered question about why. I don’t care anymore about his equipement I want a new album.

Um, how about some new music? Geez. I recall, your complaint about Hagar was that he didn’t want to “work”. So, what’s your excuse now that you haven’t had any new music in forever (granted, two songs in ‘04)?? Please, get in the studio with DLR or SH and get some tunes out.

Another “New EVH Wolfgang Guitar”?????…The REAL guitar of the Van Halen Classics is the Frankstrat…C`mon Eddie, why dont´t you release some new music??? Why another guitar??? Oh!! yes!!, …$$$$$$$$….I prefer the dirty sound of the old frankstrats…And i´m not too excited about this interview…WE WANT NEW MUSIC, EDDIE!!!!

Eddie certainly looks healthier.
He needs to make MUSIC not guitars.
I think I’ll go have some Cabo Wabo tequila and some Mad Anthony hot sauce, now.
At least they know how to put out new music on top of their side businesses too.

If a new Van Halen album is in the works, then it better be a double album with extra’s!!! I want a documentary of some sorts on the making of the album (considering it will be Woffie’s 1st time playing on an album!!) and some behind the scene stuff on the last tour or something, anything!!!!
Give us something that will make up for the 10 odd years of no new Van Halen music!! Is that too much to ask for? It’s been 10 going 11 years since the last Van Halen album!!!

looks like were gonna have to wait a while for an album cause if you go on guitarworld.com theres an article on it and ed says in it
“I’ll be making music ’til the day I die. I’ve done all kinds of stuff, and more is coming. I can’t tell you exactly when right now. Wolfgang is in the 12th grade and he needs to graduate first. Then I’m getting married in June. We’ll pick it up after that.”

redarrow 5150,
It’s not likely that Eddie will kick his son out of the band to bring Mike back, and I doubt Sammy would rejoin without Mike. So, enjoy Mike and Sam when they come by with Joe. I also prefer Sammy over Dave, and am looking forward to “Chickenfoot.” And to be honest, I think Sam and Mike are better off with Joe. I might change my mind if their coming album turns out to be weak, but I don’t think it will be. Last time I saw Eddie was in 2004 and the last time I saw Joe was in 2006, and I have to say that Joe was far more interesting and fun to watch. So I’m more interested to see what happens with Chickenfoot than in another VH Sammy reunion, which is highly doubtful anyway.
I think the best case scenario for VH at this point is to press forward with DLR and WG. It would be cool to see them put out competing albums with Chickenfoot. I think the competition would bring out the best in both bands. The worst case scenario is, wait… It’s already been the worst case scenario for the last 10+ years.

You gotta wonder in Ed or anyone in the VH compound read these. Don’t they get it yet ? These are real feedback from real fans ,as I’m sure they don’t read any fan mail. Why the switch from musician to business man. Either you don’t care or somebody’s giving you bad advice. Issue a statement to us all, right here, right now Damn it. I encourage all fans to keep up the feedback. We love ya ED, we just want the music.

I have followed EVH since 1980.DLR and EVH are the only Van Halen. Sammy’s stuff is great by himself. Dosent anybody remember Standing Hampton. Its awesome. I miss Mike. He got a raw deal if you ask me. Man’s got class. New guitar? Great. Like dude said before, ‘most of us cant afford it anyways’. I about shit when I saw Ed actually was selling his Frankenstrat Replica for 25,000. For Gods Sakes Ed, throw us die hard fans a bone with an album.
