The Aztec Camera sounds like the Rolling Stones “Waiting on a Friend”.

The Aztec Camera reminds me of when Dave Lee Roth did a bluegrass CD of Van Halen classics.
Richard Cheese remake of Hot For Teacher was not bad. It made me think of the Brian Setzer Orchestra.
And Hellsongs I could not get through but over all the songs were ok.

ok Hellsongs Jump…..was horrible. i just had to say that.

Yeah, the only good one was Hot For Teacher….

Hmmm, interesting takes on a couple classics. Hot for Teacher was probably the coolest of the bunch – kinda sounded like Sinatra in Vegas.
Hellsong’s Jump sounded like a bunch of stoners sitting around a campfire.
Didn’t expect the guitar solo on Aztec’s Jump starting at 3:40

Just Kill Me Now!…This can’t suck enough
The Full Bug
They were all pretty cool!

Props to Richard Cheese for the cool cartoon.
But, to twist these classic songs is almost sacreligious.
The two versions of jump were horrid. At least the hot for teacher i could at least listen to for a bit.
Van Halen is like an artistic masterpiece and shouldn’t be tampered with at all.

I really liked the twist on HOT FOR TEACHER…I always did like swing/lounge style tunes, and this was done well.

The Hellsongs version of Jump was on Classic Rock’s September issue cd and I cracked up after the first few bars. Don’t need to hear it again. But they got attitude.

ROFL! I’ve always wantedto hear that aztec camera version of jump. I had always heard it was like a suicide dirge, so I was slightly disappointed. But it was ok for waht it was. The lounge hot for teacher was okay but got old quickly.

I really tried to make it through all 3 songs but could only make it through “Hot for Teacher” and the cartoon is the only thing that kept me going.
VHRule #1 You can’t even try to remake a VH song unless you have an electric guitar in the band.

i was dissapointed, i thought it was van halen who was redoing their own songs, not others
