She’s pretty terrible - even for a 15 year old. Even for a 15 year old girl. Perfect for Sammy’s band though :P

  2. Danny says:

What an awesome show with Sammy Hager. We had the best time, with great people. Just proves that Desiree’ can rock with the best in the business.
Thank you Sammy & the Wabos for the opportunity !!!

    Damn this girl is good!!!!

  4. Keith "Da Prez" Hansen says:

A huge thank you to Sammy for making this happen for Desi!
She had the best time meeting and playing on stage with the Red Rocker. We’ve had a flood of emails after this performance hit the web and really appreciate the time devoted to allow Desiree’ the opportunity to play.

This show was at the MGM grand in CT, not Vegas

  6. Cabo Joe says:

Had a great time at the show, as always. Just joined the 1013 Club so I can get better tickets! “It’s about time”

The teenager was seriously good! And once again, Sammy proves that he is a class act by letting someone on stage on a whim, because he heard she rocks! Yes. She rocked! My memory is a bit foggy, but I believe they played Rock N Roll by Zepplin?

Next time, I seriously need to be closer than 300 FT!! Thanks to the 1013 Club ,we will see!

    OUT~!

  7. Aftershock says:

It was fun just watching her rock out. This is what rock is all about. It doesn’t have to be note perfect — it has to be from the heart. And Desiree showed plenty.

  8. Kenny says:

Sounds like they had her mixed down under Vic quite a bit. Sorta reminds me of the treatment Sammy’s guitar got on that song at the end of Live Without A Net.

  9. tom says:

She has a ton more stage presence than Wolfy!

  10. VP says:

    @b
I’m just telling it like it is. If I thought that was even minutely impressive, I would’ve been the first to applaud it. It’s great for her to have been able to play with Sammy, but she needs tons of practice. And what does VH have to do with this anyway?

  11. MarioH says:

    WOW !!!

If my little girl is going to play in that way, I need to buy a guitar very quickly !!!

  12. dan karloff says:

She’s going places, no god damn doubt about it!

  13. Brian says:

Wolfgang has nothing to worry about, but I bet she can play
    PANAMA better than John Mayer.

  14. Paul says:

Its the novelty factor, 110%. If she were a 15 year old guy people would be picking apart her technique and saying she isnt anything great. She can play, yippee, so can 100000 other 15 year olds who have way more raw talent

  15. Beau says:

Damn man. What an opportunity. I NEED to go to a Hagar concert now!

  16. Robby Venice says:

Exactly…and mentioning wolfy is a low class jab…sammy’s a rich punkass and he’s finally found someone short enough to make him look less like a fuckin hobbit….He’s dork-do ….bilbos gay cousin

  17. Myerln says:

The girl can play but come on, shes NOT EVEN IN THE SAME CLASS as Wolfgang. Has she ever played before 30,000+ fans?? NO! While she is a fairly good player, she will NEVER be a pro. Certainly she will NEVER be in a group as world famous as Van Halen. I read Wolfgang gets 60,000 CASH per show. This girl will probably never make that her entire career. I hate to sound blunt but thats the facts. There are a TON of other 15 year olds out there as good and even better than she is.

  18. Danny says:

Your right, she’s not in the same class as Wolf. Never will be, as she was not born in a famous family and did not have it handed to her as Wolf did.
She is already a world class performer; it’s not about how much money you make per show or how many people are in the audience, it’s about how you are perseved and the message you deliver and how the fans accept you.
I’d say that playing live with Living Colour, Andy Aledort,Marshall Tucker, Sammy Hager,Kal David, Allman bros. is a pretty good foundation for what may lie ahead.

  19. pskibobby says:

    damn right billy!
(the only good cd with hagar is 5150…it was all downhill from there)
roth is and always will be the best fit for VH

  20. Steve says:

All cd/s with Hagar were lame watered down boring pop rock crap that was very predictable! Eddie didn’t do one interesting solo during those years. Balance was only cd worth a listen.
This girl is good, but it’s just the novelty factor that is making people go wow. solo was just average, and i know lots of kids who can play same way or better! But amazing for her to get that chance.

  21. Stephen says:

Give me a fuking break. Wolfie has been spoon fed since he was floating around in his moma’s stomach. He’s a rich brat thats daddy made room for him in his band by kicking out a founding member. Hell he was probably drunk when he did itand doesnt even remember doing it. As for this girl not being in a class with Wolfie your absolutely right. She’s in a class with his daddy as a trend setter. That girl can RIP like nobodies business. She was awesome. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. Why dont some of you others out there quit being jealous cause it wont you and give this little lady her just do. She was awesome. I love Van-Halen and hate to bash Eddie like that but what he did to Mikey was wrong. But hey its his kid and I dont know why everybody is pumping his kid up to be the next best thing. So far I havent seen shit from him escept stealing Mikeys spot! Hopefully he stays off of drugs and alcohol.

  22. RadioLove says:

    Desi’s performace is truely inspirational.
There are thousands of people who love your talent and support you.
    Keep Rock’in!!

  23. Dave'sBrother says:

The gal did very well in this video. Unless you’ve been on a concert stage under the lights, you have no idea how much pressure there is. She plays very well for 15 years old, but with anything, there is always someone around the corner that can do it better. I wish her the best of luck.

  24. Danny says:

Thank you guys for recognizing the talent of Desiree’
