Mammoth WVH ‘Distance’ Single Debuts Atop Rock Charts

by Eric Senich — updated November 24, 2020 Leave a Comment

Wolfgang Van Halen’s debut single ‘Distance’ has landed at number one on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart dated November 28th according to Billboard.

Credited to his band Mammoth WVH, “Distance” collected 826,000 U.S. streams and 13,000 downloads sold in the week ending November 19th, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. The song also drew 1.6 million airplay audience impressions in the radio tracking week ending the 22nd of November. The single was released on November 16th.

“Distance” will also open at numbers one and two on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales and Rock Digital Song Sales rankings, respectively. It placed at number nine on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.

“I am beyond humbled by the response to ‘Distance,'” Wolfgang told Billboard. “I can’t believe that it’s appearing on all of these charts so soon after release. The fact that so many have embraced the song and video shows how much we have in common in the love and respect we have for my father. I just wish he was here to see it. Thank you so much to everyone who’s listening and also to my whole team who has worked so hard to make this a reality.”

  • Dragon Dragon I guess he bought the drum riser from the Van Halen camp. It looks like the last one they were using. I like the design of it, kind of an Art Deco feel.
