Pasadena Park Could Be Named After Eddie Van Halen, City Taking Votes

by VHND — updated September 19, 2021 Leave a Comment

The city of Pasadena, California is considering naming a brand new park after Eddie Van Halen!

‘Eddie Van Halen Park’ and ‘Edward Van Halen Memorial Park’ are among the names being considered for the park in Eddie’s former hometown. The park will be located at 701 East Union Street.

Now through Friday (September 24) at 4:00 p.m. Pasadena city officials are asking the community to review the all names that are being considered and vote for their preferred choice. Votes will be tallied and presented to the Recreation and Parks Commission for discussion and, subsequently, a recommendation of the park’s official name will be presented to City Council for its consideration.

VOTE NOW! To cast your vote, go to the City of Pasadena’s website HERE.

“An American musician and songwriter. He was the main songwriter and guitarist of the American rock band Van Halen, which he co-founded in 1972 with his brother, drummer Alex Van Halen, bassist Mark Stone, and singer David Lee Roth. He is regarded as one of the all-time greatest guitar players in rock history and was well known for popularizing the tapping guitar solo technique, allowing rapid arpeggios to be played with two hands on the fretboard. Eddie Van Halen moved to Pasadena in 1962 and attended elementary school in Pasadena.”

“Eddie Van Halen 1955-2020“

96 pages and packed with killer EVH content, including dozens of amazing photos! (No ads or non-VH content). This fantastic tribute to the KING makes a nice commemorative and collector’s item.
