David Lee Roth Performs at Summer Spectacular Under the Stars (Full Video)

by VHND — updated September 15, 2017 Leave a Comment

David Lee Roth performed at the Summer Spectacular Under the Stars last weekend in Beverly Hills. The annual, invite only event benefits The Brent Shapiro Foundation. Hosts were Mario Lopez, David Lee Roth, Cleto and the Cletones, Demi Lovato, Robert Shapiro, Cassie Scerbo, and Courtney Mazza.

The headliner was David Lee Roth, who led the band (complete with brass section and back-up singers) through “Just A Gigolo, a big-band version of “Ice Cream Man,” “California Girls,” and Van Halen’s number one hit, “Jump.”

Watch the full set in the video above. (The video starts off pretty shaky, but gets much better).

Backstage photos are below, from Toshinari Yanagi, who stated, “Ok, it was so surreal, played a gig with this guy on Saturday at a special event! Great energy, fun, crazy, and one of the best singers / entertainers! My childhood hero David Lee Roth!!”

A good time was had by all, and it’s neat to see Dave doing something for a great cause.
