Eddie Van Halen - most searched-for person on MSN today

Monday, 9 February 2009

According to the home page of MSN.com, Eddie Van Halen was the #1 most-searched-for person earlier today! And last week he was in Yahoo’s top 10, as well. It’s great to see that there is still so much interest in Van Halen!

So what does that mean, 10 or 12 people searched for him?

Check out what Google Trends has to say about search for Eddie Van Halen vs David Lee Roth vs Sammy Hagar:

    http://www.google.com/trends?q=eddie+van+halen%2C+sammy+hagar%2Cdavid+lee+roth&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0

Looks like Dave was ahead of both of them in 2006, but Sammy trails the other two consistently.

  9. Fred says:

Nat - good look at the Google trends.
I find it fascinating how Sammy still freaking owns St. Louis.

  10. Adrian says:

    King Edward still rules!

  13. Drumshine says:

Why does Sammy rule St. Louis? The word is that back in the ’80’s during his solo days, Sammy walked into the local radio station - KSHE - with a briefcase full of coke. He gave it to the DJ’s and partied for a little while, then drove off in his red sports car. Since then, he’s always had a tremendous amount of airplay. To this day, it’s always on his tour schedules, often times being a first or last stop. I’m pretty sure that’s where he filmed one of his live DVD’s.

Michael Anthony consistantly beats them all. So What!!!

  16. Rob says:

What happened to Van Halen We All know,? Sammy And Michael.
The son is ok for gigs, But come on…
5150 and forward….there is no substitute. Dave and Ed will never get along like they use to, face it, it will wear off.

Ed is the best. The chemistry they had with Sammy and Michael Anthony, can’t be replaced.
