Roth/Hagar Update
March 16, 2002 -
Today is Wolfgang Van Halen's 11th birthday. Happy birthday, mate!
Reviews Of David Lee Roth's Forthcoming DVD
To start off there's a bit of news about David Lee Roth going around.
Firstly, the tour date at the Midtown Music Festival
in Atlanta on May 3 that I wrote about last week has been confirmed, so if you're in the
area you might want to check that out!
Media outlets have been sent two copies each of David Lee Roth's new DVD (in VHS
form) for review.
Miss Truth's review
included quotes like:
All we know is if Eddie Van Halen needed one more reason to not bring back Roth as Van Halen's singer, this is it!
These reviews have helped us fans see what songs will be included on the release.
So far we've only been able to get information via leaks and rumours. Almost
makes you wish the original Slawterhouse would come back! ;)
Check out the Launch review
for full song details.
Roth Being Sued Again
David Lee Roth is the subject of yet another law suit. This one sees Roth being sued
by Louis J. Gavrel, a Texas booking agent/tour manager for non-payment of $51,200
plus an additional $17,081 in attorney's fees. Full details of the story can be found in
the Houston Chronicle.
Ray Luzier Chat
DLR Band drummer Ray Luzier will be
doing an online chat with Sabian.com
on March 19 at 4PM Pacific time. Ray's latest web site update is promising "BIG"
DLR Band news coming real soon that will "blow your mind". Maybe the following
piece of information is what he's hinting at...
The Sam & Dave Tour?
Check this out. Sammy Hagar is hinting that he may be touring with David Lee Roth
this summer. Yes, you read it correctly! The following information was posted at
Sammy's site yesterday:
Believe it or not Sammy & David Lee Roth are talking about touring this summer. Sammy was
blown away at how well they got along together. Sammy says: "If this happens, this would
have to be the party of a lifetime"!!!!
Stay tuned! WeĆll keep ya posted!!
Just when you think you've seen it all, this happens.
I guess Sammy and Dave do have a lot in common with the Van Halen thing and all,
but I never imagined the two would team up together. Imagine if Mike also joined in?
Stay tuned because it seems like anything is possible these days.
