Van Halen News Desk - Hijacked! Van Halen News Desk "Hacked"

September 11, 2001 - In case you missed it, this site was "hacked" over the weekend. Don't worry, the hack was a planned publicity stunt by Lance Watts and Garth Jones. Lance and Garth are the creative force behind the book: Van Halen - Strange And Twisted Tales.

If you didn't get the chance to see the "hacked" Van Halen News Desk, click on the link below to re-live the experience.

Van Halen News Desk - Hacked!

The "hack" sparked quite a reaction among VHND regulars. Many were outraged, others thought it was hilarious. A few selected comments have been printed for your enjoyment...

I'm sorry I don't get the sense of humor but I'm tired of feeling every
once in a while that the VHND is respectable. This hijacking bit is "out
of line" if I can quote my buddy David lee. Please......even though there
is no news, wait, dont feel to submit to these two jokers less than funny
Ideas. Rock on man!

Nice work on the site dude! Refreshing stuff, considering the decided lack
of info on the Van Halen front of late.

Many thanks,

Steve Gibson

I have been checking you site everyday at least once and sometimes more
times a day. This hijack thing is lame. I don't go to this site for stupid
humor. Maybe you think the cartoons are funny, but I think they are dumb.

Let keep it real, this new attempt at humor sucks as bad as Van Halen III.

This is about the dumbest thing I've seen come out of Australia since
Crocodile Dundee 3. I'll never go to this site again. Nice Head Deek.
First of all...everyone is up for a laugh every once in a while, but in order
to make people laugh you need funny material. This is just stupid. I'd
rather have no news at all than shit like this. For a long time I have been
checking this site for VH news, I even visited your sponsors pages. I don't
even know why I come to this site, I get the same info from Van-Halen.com.
I've realized that I probably have the same "inside sources" that you do. I
too can pull rumors out of my ass.
