Jason Becker Benefit CD Available: Free MP3 and Guitar Auction
July 20, 2001 - When I found out that Eric Zimmermann was producing and playing
on the Jason Becker Tribute CD, I asked him to do a write up and give us some insight on the recording
session. His song Rain
features DLR Band drummer Ray Luzier and former DLR Band members Gregg and Matt Bissonette.

The Jason Becker Benefit CD, Warmth In The Wilderness is the brainchild of Nick Baldrain and Lasse
Mattsson, both are long-time fans of Jason's work. Lion Music,
based in Finland, agreed to back the project, and musicians like Marty Friedman, Steve Morse and Paul Gilbert
have all signed on to interpret Jason's work. An ever-growing list of those who have agreed to lend their
talents to this project is available at
http://www.lionmusic.com/jasonbecker/.
All proceeds of the double CD are going to Jason's family to assist with his ever-present medical bills
and to maintain his quality of life.
While working on the song Rain,
(originally off Jason's Perspective CD) I figured it would be cool to have the companies I endorse
donate some gear to be put up for auction. Here is what we have: Fernandes Vertigo X Guitar with a
Seymour Duncan JB Pickup and a few boxes of D'Addario Strings, straps and cables. And all this can be ran
through a POD donated by Line6. This is a package deal, so the highest bidder takes everything. Everyone
was very eager to help out.
