Somebody get me a doctor!! Dave is the K I N G!! I just got home from the show in Oklahoma City at In Cahoots. Let me say it was so great. I saw Dave at Reunion Arena in Dallas this summer, and I must say the club show was much better. Not that the other wasn't great too.

The set list was about the same as already mentioned. He hit the stage at 10:00. He played for about an hour and fourty-five minutes. Non-stop kick ass and take names rock and roll. Who the fuck is Eddie Van Halen?

A notable occurance tonight was at the end during Jump when Dave was twirling his chrome battan, he dropped it and hit someone in the front row. They were ok and Dave looked stunned that it happend. Oh well, that's rock and roll.

I finally got to see Dave play guitar on Ice Cream Man. So cool. As usual, he also picked out some local girls to comment about. And said "You can read this on the internet tomorrow, we've done 50 or 60 shows now, but OKC, your the roundiest and loudest bunch of mother fuckers I've seen yet." Just thought that was pretty cool. Dave looked great and sounded even better. He was doing is vocal squeals like he did in the good old days. Wow. Haven't heard that in a while.

David Lee Roth is still the greatest frontman in rock and roll! There is no other lead singer like him live. Tonight, his voice was great, jokes were funny, and his kicks high. He still captivates an audience like no one. The set list was the same as in the past.

Dave seemed to be having a great time on stage. Seeing this, the crowd was wild. How many shows do you see today were the bands looked like they are having a blast onstage? This band was, especially Dave. Wouldn't it be great to see him up there with Ed, Al, and Mike!

Dave was staying in the hotel were I work. He came down to the dining room for dinner the night before the show. I was his waiter. He signed an autograph for me and shook my hand twice. Dave if you're reading this thanks for being so cool!

It was probably the most impressive of kick-ass rock'n'roll that I have ever been witness to. Dave put on a show the way rock was meant to be done. He was loud, rude and gave the crowd everything they wanted.

I came into the show just wanting to see Dave because I had never seen him in concert before with or without Van Halen. I always had been told that I didn't know what I had been missing. Let me tell you they were right. I was very impressed by Dave and I just have to say he put on a hell of a show, and restored my faith back into the belief that someone out there is still carrying on the torch of real rock'n'roll.

What can I say that hasn't been said already?

I was a little skeptical about seeing Dave at a relatively small venue and was really wondering how the entire thing would turn out. Well, I was EXTREMELY PLEASED with the show and it COMPLETELY restored my faith in Dave.

Dave put on a blistering show that was 100% entertainment. Dave's kicks were high, his voice was MUCH better than I anticipated (especially for being on the road, I thought it would be shot from touring), and he genuinely appeared to be having a good time and enjoying himself. The crowd fed off this energy and it made for a friendly, fun, party atmosphere.

This night, Dave was DAVE and he was the same DAVE that I was such a big fan of throughout his Van Halen career. There were the typical Dave-isms throughout; the crotch grabbing, the comical statements that only Dave can say right ("Honey, you look so sweet, I'll bet you shit sugar! Why don't you come on back to my hotel and fuck up my life?"), the showmanship that only DAVE is capable of, and of course, the guzzling of Jack Daniels. This was the Dave that was such a major force that elevated Van Halen to its mega-status in the early days. (It's still my contention that even with the talent that Van Halen had back in the late 70's between Eddie, Alex and Mike, that they would have been NOWHERE NEARLY capable of launching themselves the way they did without Dave's presence.)

I thought one of the GREATEST things about the show was the LACK of anti-Van Halen, Hagar and Cherone comments! Hats off to you, Dave, for not bringing any of these comments up! (NOTE TO READERS: I am a HUGE Sammy Hagar fan and a HUGE fan of the Sammy-era Van Halen. I was also a HUGE fan of the Roth-era Van Halen and I can't stand when the two eras are compared; it's like apples and oranges, in my opinion.) The lack of anti-Hagar, Van Halen and Cherone comments was a statement in itself that DAVE can stand on his own! He doesn't NEED to bring these things up as his performance and abilities stand-out enough on their own. Once again, THANK YOU, DAVE, for making this show about YOU! That's why I went in the first place.

Keep it up, Dave! I'd see ya again in a heartbeat and have told all my friends that you're a MUST SEE! You've still got it and we love ya for it, man!

I am 40 years old and haven't seen Dave or VH since the Texas Jam 1, 1978, Dallas, Texas. He looked as fresh and energetic as that concert over twenty years ago. I stood for five hours to see the Master Showman of all time, it was worth every second. He made a point to make eye contact with everyone in the building. He really does care about the fans and wants to put on the best show that they've ever seen. He delivered on that and then some. It was the best concert I have seen, ever, period, end of statement.

The venue sucked because it was just too small to contain this out of control bombastic nuclear device, Diamond Dave. He could have filled an arena. The energy he displayed was infectious. I loved the the fact that he knows how to treat an audience and truly enjoys the process.

The radio stations are still talking about the show a week later. Now tell me, who else can command that attention nowadays! Remember folks, Elvis IS dead. My only regrets, I won't be able to see him again soon enough.

Dave, you are the coolest SOB I have ever witnessed. Keep up the good work.
