What a great show!! Dave is still his old self, I haven't seen him since VH 1984 tour and he still is one of the greatest showmen in the world! VH needs him back badly, more than he needs VH back. He still had his share of one-liners and his regular communication with the girls in the crowd, the girls are still crazy about him!

The version of "Ice Cream Man" with him playing the intro on acoustic was awesome! Even on the small stage he was on he still had all the kicks and jumps he had 15 yrs. ago! Eddie, you've gotta get Dave back in VH if not for anything else do it for the fans, he's still the best frontman in the business!

Last night, Dave's special blend of guns and guitars bikinis and fast cars rock'n'roll was in full force in Amarillo Texas! From the first lines of Hot For Teacher to the baton twirling during Jump, there was no doubt that the man can still sing and captivate an audience like nobody else.

Dave kicked, jumped and flat out kicked ass through a great set of classics! Eddie and Al, make some new tunes with the man and bring the real Van Halen back. Nobody can play like the VH bros. but this show was 10 times better than the Cherone doing Daves hits joke I saw in Dallas at the Starplex a couple of years ago.

After hearing Eddie was layed up with a hip replacement surgery from years of hopping on stage, I expected Roth to be rolled out in a wheel chair. Man, was I wrong. Roth showed everyone why he is the ultmate rock n roll lead singer. He did every wild kick and jump as though it was 1980 again.

What was striking to me about DLR, was that he did his uptenth show as though it was his first concert ever. It's obvious DLR loves what he does no matter how big or what size the crowd is. He came to entertain and take the crowd back down memory lane. He did all of the classic VH including "Ice Cream Man". He never bitched or moaned about the woulda, shoulda, coulda's, he just got up a jammed for two hours.

The backup band was probably better that what the real VH members could have played today. The backup guys obviously grew up listening to VH and hit every note exactly like on the albums.

All I can say is Eddie really screwed up not letting Dave rejoin the band.
