Hamburg Show CancelledJune 03, 1998 - Tonights show at the Docks in Hamburg has been cancelled due to an injury sustained by Alex Van Halen. The band's performance at the Karlshamn Rock Festival this Friday is also in doubt. According to the Official Van Halen Web Site, Alex's injury was caused by a piece of plaster that fell from the roof and struck his arm while he was warming up. June 05, 1998 - Today's performance by Van Halen at the Karlshamn Rock Festival should go ahead as planned. Alex apparently has regained feeling in the arm that was injured on Wednesday when a piece of plaster fell from the roof and struck him. Authorities today condemned the building where the accident took place. Reports say that a 4ft slab of brick and plaster also fell on the spot where Alex was positioned. The Bospop festival in Weert, NL on June 14 will go ahead with Status Quo as the headliner in place of Van Halen. Milan's Monsters of Rock festival will also go ahead as planned, but without Van Halen.
