invited to visit the all-new Van Halen Mailing List Chat Room! It was
set up recently on the Van Halen Haven web page by Jon Dunphy. It is

Microsoft Internet Explorer are fine).
City of Hope Pics
March 9, 1997 - I've managed to obtain some
cool screen-shots of Edward Van Halen at the City of Hope benefit
concert which aired on VH1
yesterday. Thanks to Tom Welch for once again providing some great
pictures!
If you look closely (or watched the show) you'll notice that Edward
is using a Peavey Wolfgang guitar equipped with a Transtrem....

Face Down In Cabo
March 18, 1997 - The Cabo Wabo Seventh
Anniversary Party will be held on April 24/25!
As you may already know, Cabo Wabo is the name of the club in Cabo
San Lucas, Mexico that was formerly owned by the members of Van Halen.
Sammy Hagar is still a shareholder.
The Cover Police will be the house band for the celebration. Band
members include Gilby Clark (Guns 'N' Roses), Randy Castillo (Ozzy Osbourne)
Ryan Roxie (Alice Cooper) and Phil Soussan (Ozzy, Billy Idol, Vince Neil).
Sammy Hagar will be in town in May to rehearse for the Marching To
Mars album launch. There is a possibility that
he may show for the anniversary party.
Watch out for Sammy's new single, Little White Lie and the
Official Sammy Hagar Web Site -
coming soon! More details later...
VH Select Producer
March 21, 1997 - Van Halen have chosen
Mike Post to produce their next studio album. Post is best known for
his work on television and movie soundtracks including Hill Street
Blues, L.A. Law, Quantum Leap and NYPD Blue among many others.
Got Milk?
March 24, 1997 - Edward and Alex Van Halen
are the latest celebrities to appear in the
Got Milk?
advertising campaign. Special thanks to Guillermo Carrera from the
5150 Sunset Strip
web page for providing the picture.
The caption reads:
Of all the lead singers we've had, most never got enough calcium.
Typical. But not for Alex and me. Because every time we change singers,
we have an extra glass of milk. That way we're sure to get more than
the recommended three glasses a day. As you can see, sometimes all
at once.

The ad will appear in the next edition of Rolling Stone
magazine.
