Van Halen’s Facebook Posts Australian Concert Dates

On May 11th, 2011 SOUNDWAVE REVOLUTION, an annual music festival held in major cities around Australia, announced VAN HALEN as the surprise headliner for their all five of their huge festivals in September and October.

Then today, Van Halen officially acknowledged the shows by simply posting the dates on their official Facebook page. Here’s the full post:

This makes the first time that the band has posted any major news via Facebook….or any major news in a long while.

    VH is taking this very slow…which likely means the band is going through the same stuff it has in previous decades.

    Not a surprise that they would take the first dates overseas. Shows me that they are taking baby steps…even though most of the band is in their mid-fifties.

    Heavy line-up. Hard to say if VH would even play new stuff. They’d be better off playing Fair Warning and the first album for those shows.

    Is his wife still the publicist?

    I dreamed I heard them playing live ( new music ) last week, something is about to happen much sooner than later mark my words, back in the day I had a dream it was dark and gloomy but two guys were playing guitars and the music was something I never heard , fair warning came out shortly afterward the guitar music I heard in the dream was the intro to mean street, I know it sounds crazy …. but true

    I watched the vh3 tour and no way to Kenny out play Eddie, atleast not at my event. Nope! I have seen VH several times, and Eddie was on his game during that tour. I’m not a VH3 fan, but man the band sounded good live. The only time I seen him off was in 04, just wasn’t right.

    Last album title rumor I heard was – Two Zero One One. I don’t quite believe that one either. May the suspense not actually kill us!

    I heard that the new album is a live one, and it’s called FAIR PLAY. Oh wait, that’s the rumor I heard back in 1981 before Fair Warning came out…

    Denny and Rhymes… I don’t hate Sammy either as a matter of fact Sammy was just as enjoyable as Dave but his time was up long time ago and Dave is back bringing it Old School. Mike will be missed for sure but as long as Eddie and Alex brings in the brown sound. as for DENNIS….Don’t worry they have there A Game indeed, the VH3 tour lacked a lot due to that poser Cherone but the 2007-2008 tour was their best ever $93 million, tight sound, loud crowd, their greatest performance ever in VH History despite Mike MIA but hey it was Great!!!.
