I’m dialed in for this. And I really hope to see/hear something from VH soon. Here’s to hoping (and toking)Ed, Al, Dave & Wolf can be a band, and not just a “brand”. The past is great, but there’s nothing like the present and future. Please!!

  • DLR

I agree with Dooley, Let’s get this f@ck on!!!

That was awesome. If it is possible it looks like they are having more fun. I liked the Foxy Lady cover and the Pipeline cover, and the solo by Chad. When they tour after the next album that should really be a good show … a lot looser. Satch and Chad are freaking monsters.

  • Ray

Karl, I think it is a record…well, it only takes one to open the door…

  • ronster

Them Chickenfoot Boyz know how to throw a party and have fun.
Diamond Dave and Eddie do not work well together. How can they ever make another album. Van Halen new music will not happen!

  • damo

    cool concert :)

  • Keith

Very Cool, Thanks to Chickenfoot, BestBuy, VHND, and all who brought this to us fans for free !

  • Shawn

I bet it was a blast. Sorry I missed it.

  • J5150C

I got say that Joe really kicked some ass. As musicians they were very solid and as a band, a very tight unit.

  • mjc

    best buy did’nt allow a full screen,why?

  • http://thebrewingart.com Joe O’Meara

Too bad my internet connection decided to not play nicely last night.

  • Cliff

WOW…that was a great show. It’s amazing how effortless these guys make it look. Joe is unreal…he is always improving. Mikey’s vocals and playing were spot on and Sammy & Chad seem to continually bring more energy everytime I watch. Thanks Chickenfoot for doing your thang!

  • Dooley

Saw part of it, enjoyed it immensely. I’ll be visiting the local Best Buy to pick up their new DVD. Well done, Foot!

Anyone know where we might catch a replay? I wanted to watch, but our own band had a gig to play so I missed it!

  • Dooley

RE: The Foxy Lady and Wipeout covers done by CF. It made me laugh a bit. A rock band doing “surf” music. And I remember Jimi intoning “May you never hear surf music again” during his cool tune Third Stone From the Sun on his debut album. But these guys get away with it just like Dave gets away with forgeting his lyrics.

  • Chickenlover

It was Way to Short !!!!

  • Rick Pride

I went. First ever time to Cabo Wabo!!! 20th anniversary. Awesome!!!! We went Friday and Saturday both nights. Fridays show was a little better. Sammy and the foot rule. We went to Land’s End and Lover’s beach today. Sure beats Cincy any day!!!!

  • Canes_fan5150

I just got back tonight from cabo. Wasn’t able to catch the show though. The dang security guard wouldn’t take my 100 dollar bribe. It sucks being underage sometimes. I did get some cool shirts though. Best part of the trip was the wave runners.

  • Panama Red

I really enjoyed the free Chickenfoot webcast. I had a little trouble at first with getting the full screen to work until my wife noticed that someone posted a link that made it work. Thanks to whoever that was, maybe it was johnny beane.
That was a fun show, I sure as hell wish I would have been in Cabo for that weekend. I can’t wait for their next tour and album.
@ Bluesbro – I agree, it was pretty freakin’ cool wasn’t it.
@ Dooley – What’s up, hey man I thought their version of “Foxy Lady” was cool and I really liked the “WipeOut – they say it’s your birthday” number they did. I love surf music, man. C’mon Dick Dale and all of his awesomeness, great stuff dude. You don’t at least like some of the other classics? like “Mr. Moto” from the Belairs, “Bustin’ Surfboards” by The Tornadoes, “Diamond Head” by The Ventures, or “Pipeline” by The Chantays. I LOVE that shit. If you don’t like “surf” that’s alright but I really dig it. I Do agree that Chickenfoot can pull off just about anything.
@ Rick Pride – You lucky sumbitch. Lol. If you have a few minutes would you care to elaborate on the other show? Did they play a different setlist? Did Chad impale someone with a drumstick? Did Mikey throw up in a bucket? Did Satch admit he was an alien? LOL.
I thought that was pretty freakin’ funny when Sammy was talkin’ to Joe and he was like–How can someone who is so much like an alien not believe in aliens? HA HA.
Seriously though Rick I bet you had a great time. I bet it was awesome being there. Let us know how the other show was, if you can.

Love the Foot. I’ve vowed to make to Cabo someday.

  • Dooley

    Panama Red:

Salutations!! Well…let’s just say you won’t find any surf music CD’s in my collection. I always thought it was “lightweight” and thought Jimi Hendrix was so cool with his “may you never hear surf music again” line in Third Stone, remember that one? And I was like “this is interesting” when CF did Jimi’s Foxy Lady and then Wipeout. It was good, all right. And Jimi’s surf music comment came right back to me from the deep dark recesses of my grey matter and made me laugh a bit. Yeah, CF can pull off just about anything they attempt.

I envy you, Rick Pride, and anyone else who was there.

  • Vanicionado

I think the feed I was on totalled at just under 3000 viewers…

There HAD to be more people watching than that…

    Anyone know anything different?

  • ringostore

I’m in Cabo San Lucas right now. Went to Cabo Wabo. Never was a Sammy fan and now I’m less a fan. Three things that bothered me with his franchise. The price of drinks are 8 bucks each, ridiculous. Sammy has all the mem’ covering the walls. I realise he has done several albums with VH but he has the albums done with Roth cased in glass under all the albums he did with VH, tacky. The economy is not good in Cabo right now either, and I would never buy his expensive Tshirts or Tequilla from gift shop, so instead of moving lots of items, he puts the extra small Tshirts on sale table,so collect dust Sammy.
Before I went, I read the reviews from many people on tourist sites. Most people that went knows VH and Sammy but no die hard fans. The reviews are half and half. So when I went, I went in with a sceptical mind.

Dave, Eddie…………please make a new album!! I’m getting food poisoning from being around Chickenfeet!!

  • sammyvanroth

ringostore, look at it this way, instead of dying from chickenfeet food poisoning you will die from old age waiting for VH!

  • Dooley

    ringostore…

If you’re a Ringo Starr fan, he’s re-activating his all-star band for a 2010 summer tour. Don’t know who all the participants are. It was just announced and tix are not yet on sale.

  • daveman5150

@ ringostore…. The only retort that I can provide is this: You are complaining about the price of goods, and that the economy is not good, yet how much did you spend to fly down to Cabo and to rent a hotel room in Cabo? You can’t blame a man for trying to make a buck. Business is business and if people will pay it, then good for Sammy. Sure, drinks may be expensive (I wouldn’t know because I spent most of my time drinking on the sidewalk waiting in line for free tickets), but at least he provides free concerts for the fans that are willing to shell out the buck to come down to Cabo – I think that that’s pretty cool and it’s definitely not something that he has to do. Again, if people will pay, he has a right to charge whatever he wants.

  • fish

    > I think the feed I was on totalled at just under 3000 viewers…
There were different streaming players, thus there were different totals depending on which you were connected to.

  • ringostore

Thanks Dooley! no I’m not, just a play on words, but it might be a better experience than Chickenfeet.

Daveman, no I live here, the drinks are much cheaper next door to Sammy’s, and I got a great deal on a flight, enjoy the line ups!

as for cabo unless you want to drink yourself to death its not any fun
too many annoying gringos and fatties and the mexicans locals just want your cash
it was cool the first time i went in 1995 but it was pretty lame in 2006- better to go to san jose its much more chill.

  • Pete

RINGOSTORE…you poor, sad, person. You may be the FIRST person to hang out at Cabo Wabo and NOT have a good time. I always knew there had to be at least ONE, and now I know for sure.

I hope you find some place fun that makes you happy bud. I bet you felt that Disneyland was too commercial, huh? Or that Hooters was too sexist?

Hang in there man, there has to be something fun for you somewhere…
