More Van Halen isolated guitar tracks

Eddie Van Halen’s isolated guitar tracks for “Hear About It Later”, “Intruder,” “Pretty Woman”, Somebody get Me A Doctor”, and the “Beat It” guitar solo. Enjoy!

Man, these threads always put me in a good mood.

I’m listening to “Light Up The Sky”, I wish I could get a guitar track and a drum/bass track for this too. Eddie and Alex both have nice solos here, and Roth really screams his lungs out. Its such a great song…hence why VH2 remains my favourite album of the Roth era.

    VHII is my favourite too…

For a supposed “rushed” album, it sure sounds tight to me!

At the 2:10 mark of Somebody Get Me A Doctor you can hear the true genious that is EVH. Ripping out those right hand palmed harmonics so cleanly and consectively is next to impossible.

    Duck –

I thought “Diver Down” was rushed, I thought VHII just sounded like a natural progression from the explosive effort on the debut. You could tell they were young and hungry.

I often forget about Women and Children first too. Its a great album but I only ever seem to listen to a few tracks off of it. You could tell the band was experimenting with instrumentals and at the same time seeing how far they could push their wackyness and their humour.

PS – has anyone seen the video for “Pretty Woman”? I just REALLY don’t get that…

    Hey man!

Yeah….VHII is without a doubt one hell of a rock album!
I never tire of it. “Outta love again” / “Light up the sky” / “D.O.A” / “Somebody get me a doctor” / and “Bottoms up ” (Yes, in that order!) are stand out’s alone!
I would listen to “Women and children” first again if I was you brother! We all know that “Everybody wants some” is a monster, so we’ll skip the obvious and move on to some other tracks you should revisit! “Fools” / “Romeo Delight” / ” In a Simple Rhyme” / and “Take Your Whiskey Home” are worth your time all over again. I’m taking it you’re a young guy cause not many over here would say they they only listened to “Women and children first” a couple of times! LOL! Shit, that’s like a VH multivitamin for us classic die hard fans! LOL! It’s cool man….just bustin your chops a little! Dont let past fuzzy memories get in the way of listening to one of the BEST VH albums out there! Let me know if you do!

As far a the pretty woman video? Ha ha….funny to think that it was BANNED on MTV in the early 80′s!
    I never liked it.
    As far as “getting it”?
I dont think it was ever meant to be understood. Anyone who was a classic VH fan from back in the day will tell you:
You never knew what the band was going to pull out of their hat next…
