RED: Okay, now I get it. What a difference the word, "WASN'T" can make in a sentence. And I bet you're kicking yourself for the missed opportunity with that "Sexy Little Thing". LmAo.

I should stop with all this babble... but I really, have nothing better to do. (Sad to say.)

'DLR band' cd: Black Sand WAS a trippy little jam. I love every song on that cd except for "Slam Dunk" for some reason. (The only song they played on the radio -- go figure) I liked almost all of Dave's solo stuff -- even "Filthy Little Mouth" (which most don't care for). The only album I didn't think much of was "Sky Scraper"... something about the way the tried to throw some dance like beats in with Vai's guitar; went together like cool aid and battery acid. (come to think of it... cool aid contains battery acid, right?)

Now, go rent yourself a copy of "Zombie Land"!... nothing like zombies getting their heads blown off while "Everybody Wants Some" plays in the background. über cool

Yay for DON. Someone else gets "kicked by the 'foot". HAH!, watch... that'll be the name of their next album. I demand 5% royalties, Satch!

More mindless babble from "No Mas Tony".

Please DLR, spill some beans on the Van Halen saga already. I'm bored.

Tony I never heard that about Gary’s brother. That’s really pretty funny if you think about it.

Yeah, I could see someone getting aggravated by the back and forth posts by me and some other regulars here but it’s only because we are jonesing so hard for new Van Halen material so we discuss anything we can sometimes to keep are interests peaked, ya know? It’s good to talk about something VH related while we eternally wait for new Van Halen stuff. If anyone here can recommend a good VH chatroom I would go check it out when I’m in the mood to talk VH instead of posting such long comments here. I’ve looked a couple of times, couldn’t find a good one. Although, I have already gotten used to some of the personalities here. If I went somewhere else there would be a whole new set of Sammy haters to deal with, ha ha.

Tony you mentioned “Mine All Mine” (my fav song from OU812) and how great that song was. I think lyrically it was very interesting and well written and also musically impressive. A great meaningful song to me. I love the lyrics, the drums, awesome guitar playing as always. So many people bitch about OU812. Yes the production was kind of screwed up, like the lack of bass, but it’s still a great album with great songs. I think I remember an interview with VH and they were talking about re-recording that album, but I think it was Sammy who said he would rather look forward and spend time working on making a new album instead. It seems a little weird to have to re-record that album anyway. Couldn’t they just re-mix it and re-master it?

Just throwing in my two cents about stuff being talked about in recent posts.
I don’t like the DLR Band C.D. as much as some of ya’ll. But I really love the song “Black Sand” from that album. That is such a cool, mellow surf song to listen to.

Tony - about the sexy, somewhat slutty little blonde chick. I said it “wasn’t” the worst day in school. I was being stupidly sarcastic. And I didn’t act on that chicks “subtle flirtations” (being sarcastic again) because I had my own little blonde girlfriend at the time that I was infatuated with (who wasn’t quite slutty enough, heh heh) So unfortunately I don’t have a good story to go along with that girl. But I enjoyed the view she offered me. Ha!

Before I go, I know “The Monster Squad” has come up now 5 times, I swear I’m not obsessed with talking about it. Other people keep bringing it up too, I’ve only watched my DVD once since I bought it about a year ago. But when I was a kid I was really into monsters and monster movies. I was kind of a weird kid. I think I had the same childhood as Rob Zombie. Anyway, I liked that movie when I was a kid because it incorporated all of the Universal studio classic Monsters. Of course it was kind of “corny” and far-fetched. But it was a fantasy-type fictional movie. I’m sure everyone has a few movies they still like and watch from their childhood for nostalgic reasons. I still enjoy that movie. It’s kind of one of those “cult classics” to me. It’s not the kind of movie that would win an Oscar but it’s just silly fun. I like it.
Haven’t seen “Zombie Land” yet. But I’m gonna.
It’s been fun shootin the shit with all ya'll. Too bad about the tequila thing and your stomach Tony. I should start calling you “No Mas, Tony”. Later on man.

Thanks to everyone for their interesting comments in lieu of new VH news. Like I said, sometimes it’s more entertaining reading the comments here than the actual news. Hearing someone’s take on a VH song or personal experience with VH can be interesting and is better to hear than what’s coming from the Van Halen camp..... “crickets chirping”
I haven’t run out of hope yet, but it’s fun to fill the void with other VH fans.
Cheers (except Tony-“No Mas”) j/k
