  1. Pete says:

Well done boys, well done. Here’s to real music by world-class players. Thanks for giving us something to cheer about, and the sheep something to hate on. Everyone wins…in their own way!

  2. Canes_fan5150 says:

As much as I dislike satch and the foots new album I have to give them props. I am envious of their fans because of chickenfoots musical output and success. With that said I am not angry at Ed and al for their inactivity, I am just wishing for a new album. It will be the first album that I am old enough to know about and be excited for (only 16).

  3. daveman5150 says:

What do they mean when they say that the album will be presented with Fluorescent Ink? Is it going to do something as the other album did or is it just white with the black logo? The article says that the album “will feature a reverse design”

  4. chris b. says:

Maybe the images/photographs will appear like a photo negative when you touch the packaging.

Yes, I’m one of those dudes that bought it on iTunes, the CD, and the LP. The LP is the best, though. Great sound.

Looking forward to the DVD extras that aren’t on the podcase/website, like the ‘Runnin’ Out’ recording.

  5. Jor-L5150 says:

dont need the CD re-issued already, the dvd is cool- why not a full-concert dvd by itself?

  6. Bocephus says:

The proof is in the pudding.

    Well done.

It would be nice to more of that Studio Running Out…

    They did it.

    The Foot delivered.

    Congrats.

  7. Skutch says:

Ahh, Pete. You never miss a chance to assume the thoughts of others. Your ongoing supply of negativity helps keep the drama high.

  8. lucky says:

I think they are currently working on a concert dvd as well. I like seeing a rock band being as successful as they are. Just goes to show there is a market for it, and people are hungry for the rock.

Now if VH could get the goods out I’d be in heaven.

  9. RA 8 1 2 says:

A friend of mine bought a couple of Eddies guitars on e bay that he played on the last tour and signed for charity. When he spoke to Ed’s “secretary” who was handling the sales of the auctions, paperwork, payments, etc, he asked about the possibility of a DVD of this last tour, she told him that one was in the works for a possible release in December 2008. Maybe we will be lucky this year!

  10. Kevin Malone says:

Every CF article says the same thing; “we aren’t doin’ it for the money.”

    Really?

  11. Rocko says:

Way To Go Joe, Chad, Mike and Sammy

  12. swingin' sinner says:

amazing that in less than a year they have done so much! or are they just cashing in quickly? I think not, just giving what the fans want in this day and age of easy access on the internet!

  13. Kimberly says:

Congrats boys, its great that rock n roll is still alive! What I love about Chhickenfoot is that in all their footage they always seem like they are having the greatest time. None of that emo, whiney BS!

    Keep rockin’!!!!

  14. Mark says:

I have never understood the “cashing in” complaint.

They are musicians, they make money by playing gigs and releasing music.

With Kiss and their coffins, pez dispensers and such, yeah, I can see it then. But this is a CD/DVD, this is what they do.

  15. Russ says:

Always wondered wny “Bitten” wasn’t on the debut. It’s just business, that’s all. EVH does it. Most record companies do it…example: do we really need another live Rush CD? But I must admit I’m excited about the extra track and DVD and will surely buy it. This is a win-win: we get a CF DVD and the VH camp gets another nudge to get something out soon.

  16. mg says:

Aint This All Just Special.Mikey Looks Happy

  17. Rich says:

I got the first CD and I might also get this one. I rarely buy new CDs these days as I usually get disapointed - but I had chickenfoot in my car & home stereo for weeks! So much so that I had to bring the cover indoors as I kept it in the car so much in the sun it wasnt black anymore!

Glad to see some more stuff from these guys.

I fully support Chickenfoot because THEY COME TO ENGLAND. Van Halen haven’t come here in about 14 years.

  18. Ron says:

Kevin Malone: Every CF article says the same thing; “we aren’t doin’ it for the money.”

Just because it’s not all about the money doesn’t mean they shouldn’t make some by doing what they enjoy. That might not be their primary reason for doing it - and they would probably have imploded by now if it was - but I don’t think they’re doing it out of a sense of charity either.

  19. Pat says:

The Foot is lookin’ to exploit their success with one bonus song and a dvd. Why not package it with the concert DVD coming in Dec? No wonder why no one buys music any more.

  20. Vanicionado says:

What? Nobody has mentioned Chad’s shoes and the impending lawsuit by EVH Industries????

    Come on guys, wake up!!

  21. joe pac says:

I enjoy the foot. Got their album on vinyl and MP3. But I agree with an earlier post that there is no real need to re-issue the cd already. The bonus features are probably a waste of time. A full concert dvd would be great though. Can’t hate on the guys wanting to make some money though. Cheers!

  22. lucky says:

Shoes? I dunno. I like Sammy’s old Vans. I miss mine.

  23. Canes_fan5150 says:

I ordered some EVH shoes in march. Still haven’t gotten to me yet because they have been sold out since they were released. I don’t care what people say, Ed is a good business man. He does it the smart way and puts out quality products. That’s why people keep buying from EVH

  24. Karl says:

    ^ And there’s me thinking he was a musician…

  25. 50 yr old fan says:

canes_fan, hang in there on the shoes. i ordered a pair for my 10 yr old rocker son and got them in a week. he won’t take them off. he is dressing up as eddie for halloween

  26. Vanicionado says:

    Good one Karl!

Canes_fan… You don’t mean… the Hurricanes do you?

    Me be Oil_fan….

  27. SCAR says:

The Foot rocks!!!! It’s another party weekend - get your buzz on folks!!!

  28. pushtoshove says:

Funny thing is….The “Foot” is keeping this site alive…I mean not only is this thge ONLY news currently-But-There are WAY more threads here when it is about the foot that when it is about EVH and Co….How much can you talk about Eddie going to a restaurant or selling the new green guitar picks….Van Halen has ALMOST become a parody of themselves…Funny but true. Can anyone say ‘Spinal Tap’ ????

  29. Canes_fan5150 says:

Hell yeah I mean the Miami hurricanes vanicionado.

  30. SCAR says:

Fuck it, get stoned and crank up some Foot!!!!

  31. Pete says:

    I’M WITH MY BUD SCAR!!!!!!!!!!!

Good to see you around man…

VANICIONADO…hockey fan? I’m with the Kings man…but we got our best from you Oil fans, so thanks man.

It’s great to have this item out there to talk MUSIC…not shoes, video games, or “things”…just good ol’ intangible music…

  32. Rich says:

True that Pete, the products surrounding musicians often takes the limelight away from what is actually important - the music!

  33. Vanicionado says:

Canes_fan… thought you were talking about Carolina…

Pete… yeah talking hockey baby!! You got Smyth, you had Gretz, Huddy, Kurri etc…

I’ve never had a problem with the Kings. Even was pulling for them a while back when they were in the Finals (that was a while back in their Black jerseys!)

  34. FAMAC says:

I wonder what unit sales would have been like had CF not run that almost-free MP3 special on Amazon. Units sold obviously doesn’t account for “at what price?” They probably could have gone platinum if they had only charges a dollar until now, then they really would have not been in it for the money. Of course, I’m not even sure MP3 sales count towards gold certification, but I would imagine they do — or soon will.

  35. Bluesbro says:

I am curious about the comment earlier about Chad’s shoes. I did not even know he was wearing Frankenshoes until it was mentioned. Is there really a lawsuit from Van Halen? If you buy a product from someone, can’t you use said product? I don’t get it. Van Halen should be glad their getting free advertising of their gear from a working band.

I don’t get the whole Van Halen jealousy thing (either from them or from posters at this site). If they just want to market stuff then things are great, and they should be glad when they get a free plug. Personally I wish they would offer up some new material … that would be a huge win win imo.

The posts would be epic on this forum as comparisons were made. We might need flame retardant suits ;-)

  36. Vanicionado says:

Blusbro… made the comment as a joke.

There was an article this year about how EVH was suing Nike (or somesuch shoe co.) over the Frankenstein design.

It made news and there was a whole big stink…

I was just poking fun at the ridiculouslness!!

  37. Bluesbro says:

I got it Van … I guess the jokes on me :-)

  38. Pete says:

    VAN & BLUES…you both rock…

  39. Echosak3am says:

I just picked it up and it’s awesome! I love how they describe the writing/inspiration for each song on the DVD and throw in some live stuff. VH should do the same and treat their fans that put them where they are with more respect and put out something like this.
