How could you not like that? Chickenfoot kicks ass. Speaking of kicking ass, just got back from seeing Tesla at a little club here in Ohio. They played about a minute and a half of Feel Your Love Tonight towards the end of the show - the only cover of the set. And then pointed out a few Van Halen shirts in the crowd. It was a cool VH moment among fans. Highly recommend Tesla if you get a chance.

Again, why are we dealing with something that is so trivial. Chickenfoot is a PROJECT, VAN HALEN IS A BAND…Chikenfoot as a project that lives off of the BAND, VAN HALEN! The only thing good that has come from this CS(enter chickenshit here) is that they have awoken a sleeping giant(enter VAN HALEN here)and late 2009 and 2010 will prove that!
Good night and be well all!

This site’s comments section would be a lot stronger without immature people like VHJAMES68 commenting. Hey VHJames - VH & Chickenfoot are two great bands. This isn’t a competition. Grow up. Why knock Chickenfoot on a website that is designed to cover them and has tens of thousands of readers who like them? There’s plenty of room on this planet for Chickenfoot AND your precious Van Halen.

Best Song on the Album!!!! I agree with Michael it should have been their 1st single. On top of which, out of the 3 videos they have shot now, this is by far the best one for this album. KEEP ON ROCKIN’!!!!!!!!
October 22nd, 2009 at 1:52 am
Keep rocken Chickenfoot thanks for the awsome live shows the best i have seen in years now it’s the greatest rock band ever to show that Vh will never die come on Eddie get it moving we are all waighting for that killer come back Cd
October 22nd, 2009 at 2:50 am
Dead right Adam. VHJames, grow the fuck up!
I was thinking the same thing Michael, why wasn’t this the first single. Great song.
October 22nd, 2009 at 3:39 am
When I saw this song title on the CD, I thought…oh no not a cover! Hah! Was I surprised? These guys are what making music is all about. The music is incredible, the videos hilarious and fun. This is the best project…err band to come out in a long, long time. I sure hope the economy turns around before they come to KC next time…sheesh!

A terribly mediocre video, clearly shot on the cheap. I think it’s time for the 60+ year old Hagar to rethink his lyrics - it’s gotten to the point where he comes off as creepy and lecherous.

More of the usual in the comments I’m pleased to see. Entertaining as ever. Like people have nothing better to do than protect their precious Van Halen. I for one am a massive Van Halen fan. This is a website called Van Halen News Desk that reports news on all things pertaining to Van Halen. Sammy Hagar was certainly that. Now I’m no Gary Cherone era fan but he was part of the history too. Get over it. If you want ‘ just ‘ Van Halen news then please can I suggest their website, http://www.van-halen.com/news.html as I’m pretty sure you will get all of your dedicated news on there. Apparently Eddie has brought out some trademark sneakers if you want any up to date news ( 13th April 2009 last update. ) There. I’m done now and looking forward to being abused by the Eddie disciples.

Wow Steve and VHJames. Where was that Tesla show VH Dude? I live near Cincy! I think Chickenfoot rocks and the video was very cool! Sammy is great!
October 22nd, 2009 at 6:09 am
I fucking LOVE this song!!!!!
It speaks to the depth of material on this CD that THIS was the 3rd single. Love it!
Keep on bringing it Chickenfoot!!!!!!!

I still think its hilarious that people find the need to bash Chickenfoot. “Its a project” - yeah, a project with a gold record. A project with 4 members of extremely successful and highly influential bands.
Let me tell you something VHJames88 - when I saw Chickenfoot in London, quite a few of the people were wearing Van Halen t-shirts. They were obviously Van Hagar fans, like myself. But there were also people wearing RHCP t-shirts (they and VH are my favourite bands, period) and half of the crowd were there for Satriani. Joe was smoking and his fans flocked in from all corners of the country to see him at this show. So no, Chickenfoot isn’t just built on Van Halen’s name, its actually rather original and all four of the members bring something unique to it. I’d say that half of people were responsible for making that record go gold were fans of Joe.
Not everything to do with this band rests with Van Halen. Sammy keeps going and making music. Eddie and the boys are jamming yet more old, pre-written tunes at 5150, and making myspace and facebook profiles in the meantime.

Why do some people feel the need to trash this band? This is the best, most rocking album to come along in several years, and just as close to the classic Van Halen sound as the new VH lineup is likely to produce (if they ever even record again, that is), sans Mad Mike. It’s not a competition. Dig the music, if you want, and if you don’t that’s your loss, nobody else’s. Chickenfoot has as much claim to the VH website as any band, and that’s okay with plenty of us. Side note to Chad - please conclude your tryst with your former, lame band as quickly as possible so Chickenfoot can record another album. Thanks.
October 22nd, 2009 at 8:23 am
VHJames88 you are a pathetic lame putz!!!! Long live the Foot!!!!
October 22nd, 2009 at 8:38 am
Like the song, didn’t think the video was that great, but then who watches videos anymore? I would have liked to see a live version of it as the video. It seemed a bit stock to me.

Tesla was at a small club in Columbus - small clubs are always the best place to see a band. They played like they were in an arena. A band that truly appreciates their fans. I was blown away by how many hot girls there were (I expected a lot of older beat down ladies) and a handful of teenagers and younger fans (they even knew the lyrics). They are coming to Toledo in a couple of months. I’m tempted to go see them again.
I saw Chickenfoot at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame recently. As everyone knows I’m sure, they played the whole album - no VH tunes. So the comment about living off VH doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. All four of the guys kicked ass - another band that appreciates the fans and what they have.
If you don’t like Sammy or Chickenfoot, that’s cool. Chickenfoot and Van Halen are two different bands. Why come on this site and be a dick? Until there is real Van Halen news the rest of us are enjoying postings about the VH alumni. So a sleeping giant has been awakened? A new Facebook account gets you excited? Fuck that. How about a new album and tour supporting said new album? I’m checking this site on a regular basis hopeful for an announcement and Twitter isn’t the story I’m looking for. Once VH comes out of hibernation everything else will practically be blacked out - and that’s cool with me. Until then, live and let live.

VHJames77 and Steve, I couldn’t agree more! This is mediocre at BEST. Boring, unoriginal and it sounds like any generic rock band. Nothing here stands out.
As much as I love Chad, and Micheal, the guitar works is plain and doesn’t have the energy (not necessarly fast shredding, but personality, audacity) that we use to get from Satriani.
Haggar’s voice is great and I can’t believe he’s been able to keep it this way for such a long time, but man, don’t tell me he made any effort to come up with something original and that he gave his best shot. Come on guys…
I don’t listen to the CD anymore, it really is boring and predictable. Sorry to insult people who think this is awesome, but maybe it says a lot about the music industry these days.
October 22nd, 2009 at 10:36 am
RUH ROH… Somebody woke up the sleeping SCAR…. I think the only way for him to be pacified is with a Yankkes/ Angels game…Who ya like SCAR? I’m a DIEHARD yankees fan who lives in San Diego, who’s best friend is a DIEHARD Angels fan…. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it…?
October 22nd, 2009 at 11:02 am
i agree with vhjames77. however , i respect CF success. for me it’s just not sophisticated , like VH. i’m not gonna score on CF though, much talent in CF.good luck!
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:46 pm
The girls in this video are 1/3 the age of Sammy. I think they were born during the F.U.C.K. tour.
October 22nd, 2009 at 1:08 pm
Guys, I really love the band and the song is great, but couldn’t they have gotten a gal with a little more booty??? geezzz
October 22nd, 2009 at 1:13 pm
According to steve…
I think it’s time for the 60+ year old Hagar to rethink his lyrics - it’s gotten to the point where he comes off as creepy and lecherous.
Far from it. The video shows the sexy little thing being attracted to, and making out with, a younger guy. Just cuz you’re in your 60’s you shouldn’t appreciate sex anymore???
How prudish and Victorian can ya’ get???
October 22nd, 2009 at 2:13 pm
the girl’s to skinny!
October 22nd, 2009 at 5:34 pm
VH Dude, was that the club where Dimebag Darrell got murdered 5 years ago?
October 22nd, 2009 at 6:57 pm
Chickenfoot blows! Worst album of the year by far. I can’t believe people actually listen to this garbage. Should have been a lot better.
October 22nd, 2009 at 7:10 pm
VHIII_1998_ No that was Alrosa (Alrosa Villa), also in Columbus. Tesla was at the Promowest/LC Pavilion. It’s a great little venue to see a band at. I think it’s a good time to be a rock fan - you can see “once arena” bands in small venues. We walked in and stood 5 feet from the stage - got packed afterwards, but not a bad spot in the place. Nice resurgence of interest in hard rock among younger kids too. There were two kids probably 15-17 next to us and they knew most of the lyrics to Tesla’s songs - I was blown away! Told them I’m 40 and first saw Tesla in 1987, and thier comment was “I wish I was alive then!” So strange but cool to hear such comments. The same thing we’ve all said about some of our favorite older bands! My first concert was VH in 1984, so I consider myself lucky. But still wish I had seen some of the earlier tours!
My 2 cents on the CF videos - glad to see them, and don’t blame them for NOT dumping a boatload of money on them. People aren’t glued to the TV waiting for rock videos anymore, so why should they? These guys are having fun and keeping the hard rock torch burning. Like them or not, any hard rock fan should say thanks for that.
October 22nd, 2009 at 7:32 pm
Good Old Fashion Fun!
October 22nd, 2009 at 7:59 pm
I agree with VHJames. Sammy been living off eddie for 2 decades now. The album blows ! Karl , Scar all you Sammy fans are so sad!! Dave & Eddie will rule the world again !!!! And I don’t care if Mikey’s not in the band he’s just the bass player! Come on!
October 22nd, 2009 at 8:35 pm
Shut up Shit Stew!!!!
October 22nd, 2009 at 8:52 pm
Chickenfoot!
Love your music!
We, brazilian friends, are waiting for you!!!
October 23rd, 2009 at 12:37 am
“Sammy been living off Eddie for 2 decades now.”
Stew- I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you were just trying to be funny.
October 23rd, 2009 at 2:04 am
Stew, I prefer Dave era VH. Sorry to pull the rug out.
October 23rd, 2009 at 5:50 am
Steve earlier posted about the lyrics and I agree.
You would think that after forty years in the business Sam could write about something besides cars and girls.
But I guess that you go with what got you there. Not trying to come off as critical, but Sam has proven that he can write songs with some depth, just a personal wish that in his sixties he would be more like Robert Plant and less like David Coverdale in his writing.
Just my opinion, obviously many on here like his writing style and good for you, but for me songs like this from Sam are a “been there done that” for me.
Can still sing his ass of though, the dude has some pipes!
October 23rd, 2009 at 11:52 am
this is an awesome song….the guitar sounds smooth
October 23rd, 2009 at 12:18 pm
VHJAMES68 - you’re either a troll or an idiot. Either way, why not take your foolishness someplace else?
October 23rd, 2009 at 1:28 pm
I think this is one of the worst songs on the record. All of the parts seem hammered together. Even though Joe tried to come up with something interesting for the verse - Sammy asphalted with his usual schtick.
It reminds me a lot of how Van Hagar tried using Dave-era style songs with Sammy that fell flat.
October 24th, 2009 at 1:45 pm
Great cd, Sammys always great. What else is there to sing about, we all like fast cars and women. If you like songs about stuff other than women and cars then you better get out your Eagles cds.
October 24th, 2009 at 2:00 pm
Greats song. Should have been the first single. Lyrics are fine and if anyone has heard the entire album you know the lyrics are NOT only about cars and women. Rock on CF!
October 24th, 2009 at 4:52 pm
Just a great pump you up rock song. Should have been the summer song of 2009!
October 24th, 2009 at 8:22 pm
Love it man….
October 25th, 2009 at 2:15 pm
hmmm sounds like AC/DC haha with a different singer
