strange indeed…awesome…i love CF…there isnt one single band that can have the fun theses guys have ALL the time…
October 1st, 2009 at 1:09 pm
What was it that all the CF nay sayers were talkin’ in the beginning? “They aren’t gonna amount to anything!” Well a gold record later and national attention like this says otherwise!
October 1st, 2009 at 1:16 pm
awsome, thanks for the great music chickenfoot!
October 1st, 2009 at 1:45 pm
Hey, special thanks to Van Halen News Desk for bringing the article to us!!
Chickenfoot RULES…
So does Van Halen…when they actually release new material.
Meanwhile, I await my advance copy of Guitar Hero Van Halen in the mail…

Wouldn’t you just love to be a fly on the wall sometimes?

No joke, I had a dream last night that I replaced Joe Satriani for a time in Chickenfoot. It was the best dream I’ve ever had.
Haha. These guys are awesome! So glad I got to see them live, hopefully next time they tour they’ll do more London dates. I don’t believe that Mikey “only did root notes” in Van Halen, but you have to listen pretty clearly to the bass lines and some albums (OU812) don’t have enough of it in the mix to even hear properly. Anyways, great record, I’m glad they have some success and its weird to think that this record did better (critically) than Van Halen III (Gold and #4). Plus the fans prefer CF to VH3, seemingly (:

A culmination of four very diverse and uniquely talented
musicians=Chickenfoot!!!!!!
I have enjoyed eight shows on this tour and
look forward to more!!!!
Can’t get enough!!!!! Chickenfoot flowing through my veins!!!!
October 1st, 2009 at 8:21 pm
Joe drinks 6 shots of espresso, Sammy drinks 6 shots of Cabo Wabo and Eddie eats 2 BURRITO’S AND A ROOT BEER FLOAT!!!
Hey! You’ll never know when inspiration just might hit…

This reminds me of the days when groups like the Yardbirds and the Small Faces were around…Rock n Roll .
October 1st, 2009 at 11:09 pm
Great article for a great band!
October 2nd, 2009 at 5:19 am
pushtoshove– YES nice name drop, Yardbirds are awesome.
I love that they are getting this attention..its so hard for groups like this to get any attention because of the horrible taste in music that has come about on the radio and everything. Long live rock n roll!!
October 2nd, 2009 at 7:02 am
The article is right on…fans of this kind of music have precious little of it these days to love. I will be happy as well if VH can pull an album together too, so I hope they do.
In the meantime, when 18 months are up for Chad’s stint with the Chili’s, I will be so looking forward to the next Foot CD and tour.
What are the Vegas odds on VH getting a CD out before the 2nd Foot CD, even with the 18-month head start? (I’m just being funny so don’t get your panties in a knot…)

Van Halen’s mantra is like the old Tootsie pop commercials.
Van Halen Fan: Mr Van Halen how many more years until we get a new Van Halen Record?
Eddie Van Halen: Lets find out! Ah 1 ah 2 ah 3 crunch….3 more centuries.
How many years will it take for Van Halen to release a new album with Dave…..the world may never no.
October 2nd, 2009 at 9:04 am
I’m so happy that I can get regular doses of Chickenfoot news. Thanks VHND!
October 2nd, 2009 at 10:24 am
I hear ya pushtoshove!!! Kimberly your comment is right on money!!!! PARTY ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
October 2nd, 2009 at 1:15 pm
Now that the Chickenfoot tour is ending there is not going to be much news about them and Chickenfoot is keeping this site alive with updates! Now I guess we are going to have to go back to the same old discussion of who is better Sammy or Dave and why Mike is no longer in the group and how he should be or not! Ohh..wait, this discussion sill goes on anyway. My bad…carry on….

Rich
That scares me. I think Joe is ultimately going to split.
October 2nd, 2009 at 4:50 pm
Is it just me or is this place becoming the “Chickenfoot News Page” WTF?
PS: CF is awesome, but c’mon..
October 2nd, 2009 at 4:53 pm
i dont think joe will split.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:25 am
I don’t think Joe will split either. I think they ended up with an unavailable drummer. Sad. I have had enough RHCP for a lifetime…they need a longer break so we can get more CF.
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:26 am
Woodsie, gee, like we haven’t seen that comment before!!!! Get a clue putz!!!!
October 3rd, 2009 at 8:30 am
I hope he stays too. He deserves the mainstream spotlight. I just think the straight up rock and roll and blues thing bores him.
October 3rd, 2009 at 8:09 pm

October 4th, 2009 at 9:37 am
I think RickieVanHalen may be right on the money… RickieVanWhalen says:October 3rd, 2009 at 8:30 am “I hope he stays too. He deserves the mainstream spotlight. I just think the straight up rock and roll and blues thing bores him.”
October 4th, 2009 at 4:55 pm
I thought he said he’d wanted to be in a band all his life, and that Chickenfoot was the perfect vehicle for it. (Joe)
October 4th, 2009 at 6:30 pm
SCAR, gee, like we haven’t heard that one before: “Putz” Surely your small brain can come up with a word more insulting than that… err. Maybe not..
October 5th, 2009 at 7:08 am
Do you really think Joe wouldn’t have understood the kind of music he’s have been playing with the Foot? And do you really think he would have gotten into something that he thinks is boring?
October 5th, 2009 at 8:10 am
Why would Joe leave? Its not like he is NOT going to be able to his solo thing as well. I’m sure they can all do something different for the next 18 months to two years. I think they will do one more album and tour. I say one because Sammy will be 64 which is amazing. However I would think he will want to hang it up someday.
October 6th, 2009 at 5:49 am
Money makes people do things they ordinarily would not do Karl.
If you know satch, then surely you must know that this is a limited format for him.
Who knows, I am speculating because there sure as shit ain’t anything else to talk about.
October 8th, 2009 at 2:39 am
Chad Smith and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Chickenfoot rock!
