holt jesus these shirts are freaking awesome!!! I am buying the brown one!
September 21st, 2009 at 7:39 am
Nice!
Really cool tees!
Strange to see the strats there instead of frankies but still I think they are great t shirts
September 21st, 2009 at 7:49 am
VH has released more new shirts in the last two weeks than they’ve released new music in the past 15 years. I’ll keep wearing my concert tee shirts from past years and save my $ for a new CD, at least that will draw some interest.
September 21st, 2009 at 7:58 am
Oh my god those are awesome. I’m getting both. LOVE them.
September 21st, 2009 at 8:00 am
fantastic designs.
September 21st, 2009 at 8:24 am
I think they’re lame. When’s the last time Eddie played a singl coil Strat? Not very original.
Woof!
September 21st, 2009 at 8:27 am
Bitching T-shirts.
September 21st, 2009 at 8:32 am
Lame. Kinda trendy design. Not very Van Halenish, looks like something you’d get at the mall. Strats? C’mon!
September 21st, 2009 at 8:41 am
I agree… nice designs, but very generic. These don’t scream VH… the strats don’t help at all.

I’M WITH YOU BROTHER!!!
RELEASE A FUCKING ALBUM FOR FUCK’S SAKE!!!!!!!!
September 21st, 2009 at 9:10 am
Ed Hardy meets Ed Van Halen. Yuck.
September 21st, 2009 at 9:11 am
My guess it the strats on the design are just stock art or pshop brushes and they were too lazy to actually put one of his on there. Kind of lame really. Now how about some new music?
September 21st, 2009 at 9:20 am
Those are the best new tee designs Van Halens has made in …. I don’t know how long!
September 21st, 2009 at 10:13 am
Yeah, the shirts are nice. But I don’t care about “nice” at this point. The only VH product that would mean a damn at this point is new music.
September 21st, 2009 at 10:19 am
I could make better tshirts w/ a sharpie…. Hope the NEW ALBUM isn’t as boring…..
September 21st, 2009 at 10:23 am
more merch. . . . .what a surprise. . . .how’s that new album coming?
September 21st, 2009 at 10:35 am
The “Runnin With the Devil” shirt is really cool.
September 21st, 2009 at 12:07 pm
Forget the shirts, how about a frickin’ new disc?!
September 21st, 2009 at 12:09 pm
I agree. These shirts don’t do anything for me. A strat?
September 21st, 2009 at 12:20 pm
I actually like the vintage guitars on the brown t-shirt. The whole design is a “Van Halen - good old fashioned rock ‘n roll” type of vibe. I think the classic guitars go well. Not everything needs the stripes, in my opinion.
September 21st, 2009 at 12:37 pm
Strats?! Did anybody in VH have ANYTHING to do with these shirts?
September 21st, 2009 at 12:45 pm
Really nice looking ‘T’s but I’m surprised Ed sanctioned something so inaccurate. Are we seeing the hand of his wife again? And nice as they are, it does look as if they were designed by someone who doesn’t really know much about Van Halen.
September 21st, 2009 at 1:42 pm
Eddie played a Strat at the grand opening of the Cabo Wabo Cantina. You can watch it on Youtube.
September 21st, 2009 at 2:04 pm
^ Yeah, but that’s hardly the guitar associated with Edward Van Halen.
September 21st, 2009 at 2:08 pm
Still….ya think they woulda printed a Wolfgang or EBMM instead of a stock Strat.
September 21st, 2009 at 2:24 pm
I LOVE THESE SHIRTS!!! Lol..I need one..or both..NOW haha
September 21st, 2009 at 3:11 pm
I shall get zee black one.
September 21st, 2009 at 3:25 pm
…if I stuff those shirts into my cd player will new music come out?
September 21st, 2009 at 3:51 pm
Ha, if they’re lame don’t buy’m. I’ll take one of each thx!
September 21st, 2009 at 3:56 pm
Ho hum……
September 21st, 2009 at 4:06 pm
AWESOME. They both kick ass.
September 21st, 2009 at 4:55 pm
Garbage. STRATS on a VH tee? Just another example of shitty, trendy designers who know nothing about the source material at all.
And shame on VH for approving this shit. How many times has Ed claimed some miniscule detail on a guitar was wrong and had to be corrected before approval? Granted, that’s an axe and not a shirt, but jesus. At least LOOK at the shirts before you sign off on them.
Embarassing failures all the way around.
September 21st, 2009 at 5:09 pm
Some of you people who are complaining about these shirts are ridiculous. Years ago, I clearly remember many fans on the internet complaining how VH wouldn’t sell reprints of their classic shirt designs…there was nowhere to get them. But when VH finally made the shirts, fans complained that the band was selling something. (?)
Then they make some new, contemporary-looking shirts. Then you complain that the shirts don’t look “Van Halen” enough, because they look too modern, or, god forbid, fashionable.
Really??
September 21st, 2009 at 6:42 pm
OT– Eddie was adorable on two and a half men!!! Haha sorry…that was funn <3
September 21st, 2009 at 10:32 pm
Yawn. If only Ed could produce music instead of t-shirts. By my count it’s day 11 since there was news of a “tour” by Van Halen, but they still haven’t bothered to confirm that with their fans or update their website. Apparently they had to finish proofing the t-shirt designs. And I’m sure Eddie doesn’t want to clutter the Van Halen web page with news when he’s pumping up sales for his Frankenstein tennis shoes.
September 21st, 2009 at 10:43 pm
Finally!!! Some long awaited news about Van Halen! Whoo hoo!
September 22nd, 2009 at 12:21 am
Let me get this straight. Van Halen makes some nice looking shirts. The reaction by some of you who comment? You are absolutely miserable about it.
When they finally reunites with David Lee Roth, and you complain that Wolfie is on the tour. You complain about ticket prices, even though most shows sell out. You complain about the sound. The setlist.
Then Ed gets off the booze a starts Facebook, Twitter, Myspace & Youtube channels. The weirdos complain again.
IF Van Halen actually goes to the trouble of making an album, I guarantee that people will complain and complain about it… no matter how good, bad, or great it is. And if they play the new songs in concert, people will complain about them playing songs that the audience isn’t familiar with. Yet if they tour without new songs, you’ll complain about that (despite the tour selling out again).
The miserable people will complain about EVERYTHING Van Halen does, or doesn’t do. If you are one of those people, you need to rethink your life. Think about it. You are on a Van Halen fansite complaining about how new shirts look. Is that where you envisioned yourself at this point in your lives?
What is wrong with people? Has this country turned into a bunch of negative, pathetic crybabies? It seems that way to me. Or, perhaps the overly-miserable people are much more likely to post on blogs & message boards than the average, happier person? I am thinking that is the way it is!
September 22nd, 2009 at 3:59 am
Nice try Adam… but no cigar. There is only one thing that people are complaining about. We got ‘T’s, we got Twitter, we got sneakers, we got thirty seconds on Two And A Half Men, we got FaceBook, we got Ed’s seventeen year old son in leu of Mike, we got MySpace, we got 25 grand limited edition Frankenstrats, we got lazy reunion tours, we got Wolfgangs, we got wedding pics, we got endless promises. Can you think of the one thing we haven’t got? I’ll give you a clue: It’s the one and only thing that a band absolutely has to do…
D’ ya get it?
September 22nd, 2009 at 4:09 am
Karl,
You haven’t got a full album since VH3. So what? Grow up.
What the heck do you think will happen if VH makes a new album? How will it change your life?? What are you waiting for? Why?
Jesus, why are so many people on this site so desperate for new VH music? Do you really think it could be ANYWHERE near as good as all their stuff in the ’70’s and ’80’s?
Of course not.
So why are you so miserable about the fact that there is no new music? You already have the best Van Halen. What are you waiting for? If you are not happy and content now, you never will be.
September 22nd, 2009 at 4:58 am
Well I happen to think the last thing they did with Roth, Me Wise Magic, is a fantastic track so who knows what might happen when these two get together. We can but hope.
The point I was trying to make is that people are not actually bitching about sneakers, FaceBook or ‘T’s. All the bitching about those things and all the others are just indirect bitching about no album. And I think the real problem is that all of that stuff is fine if you’re making music, it goes along for the ride. But when you haven’t produced anything for ten years but you keep telling us how much great music you’ve got just waiting to go it starts to look like all those promises are there just to keep us thinking “any minute now, any minute now…” It looks designed just to keep us buying the ‘T’s and sneakers. And that’s lazy and cynical.
September 22nd, 2009 at 9:03 am
You cry babies need to seriously get over it. It’s just T-shirts and some of you whinny ass babies still have to bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch. Grow the fuck up.
September 22nd, 2009 at 9:19 am
Adam…C’mon now. You just said:
Jesus, why are so many people on this site so desperate for new VH music? Do you really think it could be ANYWHERE near as good as all their stuff in the ’70’s and ’80’s?
Of course not.
…
Why the hell not? Didn’t VH alumni Sam & Mike just put out some high quality music under the name Chickenfoot? If they can do it, I’d say the current VH line-up can do it as well. Unless there’s a lack of commitment…
September 22nd, 2009 at 9:39 am
“The brothers” are slowly turning Van Halen into Kiss. I think Al talks to Gene A LOT and has probably been told “all you need to do now is slap your band name on countless, worthless items, mark ‘em up 150%, and watch the money roll in! You’ll never have to go through the trouble of making a new album, just do a tour of your old music every now and again to keep the fans buying your worthless crap, and you’ve got it made!” Yeah, I know, I know, KISS just made a new album. I heard the first verse of the first released song, and it SUCKED! I’m not sayin’ VH will never release a new album. I hope they do, and I hope its GREAT. Just not holding my breath. And having “Guitar Hero” to look forward to is a joke. Look, I’m 37 with a wife and a 3-year-old daughter, I don’t have time to sit and play a video game where you ‘PRETEND’ to be a musician. New music would be great, but I’ve grown up (somewhat!) and have moved on with my life. Sadly, this band has COMPLETELY lost touch with their fan-base. They could give a shit, and if they did, Ed would be checking this site DAILY and we would have a new album out NEXT FUCKING WEEK.
Just got back from San Antonio where I saw the awesome Chickenfoot, at a standing room only pavilion venue. Ticket price? $34.50! NOT $120 for the nose-bleed seats at an arena where you have to watch a big screen just to see the band. No, we walked through the gate, walked right up to the stage (at least as close as we could get behind the other people - my wife and I were MAYBE 20 feet from the stage - again, for $34.50 and no “golden rings, special price of $2 billion”), and spent the next 2 1/2 hours being rocked to the bone by a bunch of hall of famers that still appreciate their fans. Mikey took a big swig off a Corona and handed it to somebody in the audience. Oh, and they let us bring cameras into the place! I got some awesome shots of damn near every song, Chad Smith threw probably 30-40 sticks into the audience (the guy RIGHT IN FRONT of me caught one, damn it!), people were throwing stuff up on stage, Sammy would sign it and MADE SURE it got back to the person that threw it up onstage, Chad sort of hit someone with a stick, came down off stage during the curtain call and was checking to make sure the fan was okay, and Sammy graciously thanked the audience: “thank you SO MUCH for supporting this band!” Yeah, they’re all filthy stinkin’ rich, and none of ‘em need the money. They could’ve walked out, played, and left, but they didn’t. They kicked ass, they were AWESOME to the crowd. They could fill arenas, but they are choosing not to. I just saw the world’s best bar band EVER!! Sammy, Mike, and co. still get it. I only wish “the brothers” would take a page or two out of the ‘Foot’s playbook and get it right. I skipped the t-shirt table, I went for the music. Get it, EDDIE?
September 22nd, 2009 at 11:13 pm
New music please, getting tired of this exploitation crap. Iron Maiden and what they are doing really is making VH look silly. Before a band starts to sell all kinds of crap, a band should be active at least.
Oh Adam, you have points, but remember why you are on this site. You are just as curious as to what is going on with VH as anyone. We are all waiting to hear Van Halen, why? Because Ed said we should wait, it’s coming. In the meantime, we are offered to buy all this merchandise and instruments. I for one don’t expect a rebirth 1978 VH type album. I just want to see Van Halen play any music as opposed to doing everything but that. Thank god for Kiss, because they are the only band stopping VH from being the top joke right now.
September 23rd, 2009 at 5:33 am
Call me someone who doesnt know there rock n roll shirts, but I think the brown one rocks!
September 23rd, 2009 at 10:57 am
Well, the one thing I learned around here at this site (I used to be on “classicvanhalen.com” constantly, figured it was time for a change)is that no matter what is done, their will always be someone who isnt satisfied. I can understand wanting new music. But when it gets to the point where people start bashing their idols? That just aint my game man. Sure eddie, even roth have rubbed me the wrong way at times but these guys are rockstars. Not my family…not my nieghbors….not even friends. Why should my life have to be put on hold because eddie had hand surgery? Because they might tour again with no new material? Or becasue eddie’s on TV? I’m a fan, no doubt. But I’m also a fan of whats been done. Sometimes I read posts from some of you around here and I feel kinda sorry for you guys. VH has put out so much memorable music to last for decades! I’ll never tire of those classic songs! It’s a piece of americana and I’m proud to be a part of that. The music has become a piece of who I am. Thats magic right there man.
Honestly? I’m kinda nervous about them releasing a new album. Dont get me wrong….if i heard there was one to be released I’d be just as excited as many many here. I just feel that no matter what they release its gonna be put right under a microscope. So many bullshit comparisons. I can already see fuckin’ rolling stone rippin it apart, and many here (Many will be sam fans I’ll put $$$ on it). So no matter what is done it will never satisfy everyone. And thats sad cause I dont care how big a sammy hagar fan you are….what fuckin’ rocker wouldnt want to hear that dave and eddie magic once again, only this time with a copyright of 2010! Shit….all i care about is that i see them again before the world ends in 2013!
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:15 am
THIS country?
Adam… although I agree with some of what you said… really… THIS country?
This is the INTERNET… WORLD WIDE INTERNET…
Remember that!
September 25th, 2009 at 4:44 pm
I will pass on these, but I did buy two Chickenfoot shirts from the VHND store. They were $5 cheaper here than the Chickenfoot store … go figure.
September 26th, 2009 at 7:50 am
I am with you Vanicionado!!
I posted 3 times about a month ago, regarding where all the fans can get a copy of the U.S festival on DVD, and it is still “awaiting moderation” A FRIGGIN’ MONTH!!!
September 26th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
Well said Chris.
September 29th, 2009 at 1:46 pm
“I just saw the worlds best bar band ever!”
LOL! I couldnt stop laughing when I heard that!
Yeah…that sounds about right!
