Ed’s been in the news a lot this Summer. Maybe all this talk about a new album and tour really will take place! I think it will, because Eddie will want to make an album with his son, just like he wanted to tour with him. During this video, he seemed very relaxed and happy. God Bless the Van Halens!

Sorry about the malfunction. Basically, while waiting for their ride,the paparazzi guy asked Ed about a new tour and said something about waiting 25 years to see him and Dave together (like he didn’t know about the last tour). And said something stupid like “Can I say that about you and Dave?” then Ed said “We’re getting along fine” Then they talked about his hand surgery and how he should be fully healed up in a few months. Also that they just started early rehearsals and look to go out again early next year and there would be some new tunes as well. Wolfie’s gal pal is nice lookin and he got his hair cut… said it was “gettin in the way” Of course Janie looked nice as well. While getting in the car the paparazzi asked some stupid question about Paula Abdul leaving American Idol. Ed said they ran into her in Germany, but he didn’t watch the show… that’s basically it.

DAYMMM, thats good news. And of course, you can’t have a tour witohut an new album to plug….Van Halen wouldn’t just follow one nostalgia tour with another.

His family looked great, but damn, those papparazi were annoying. Look at their body language. They all wanna get home after a nice meal…god, leave them alone. Well, at least he stayed to talk as opposed to telling them to f**k off….

I don’t know. He took a drag and I thought I so smoke. Not sure. But yeah, a new tour and album is a done deal. It will happen. Wolfie is the hammer in this group right now. Ed is popping up everywhere now. Dave is being quiet for some odd reason. Diamond Dave quiet? Yeah, something is brewing. All indications point towards October as a big month as far as Van Halen news goes. I really look forward to see what that is.

What’s so cool is to see a young man like Wolfgang so grounded. He seems shy and not to want all the attention that comes with success. He doesn’t make an ASS out of himself like other young celebrities do when in the spot light.

(Personally, if I was someone being followed by camera-snapping goons, I’d keep a small arsenal of expired custard creme pies in a handy shoulder pouch to throw at these people. It’s a non-violent deterrent and these jerks never dress nice anyway (hence, no dry cleaning bill that you’re later being sued for.).

I hope these new songs they’re rehearsing are heavy on the rhythm guitar!

This may not be the appropriate place for this question, but does anyone else wish for a groove-heavy instrumental album from the VH Family power trio? Think songs like “Intruder” only the tape keeps rolling.

Why is that Skutch? folks were getting off on bashing Mike. Wolfie has teh same input in the band as he did but all of the sudden he is the catalyst and the meaning behind it all. I’m tired of reading about people getting their hopes up for something new. A stupid video game is all your going to see i’m afraid. And Wolfie is in it. Yikes. The band has lost its integrity and interest.

There are many cool people on this board that still “Dream”
and “wish” for things to happen cause thats the magic of VH. It makes you feel young again. If a good percentage here believe it will happen it will. If it doesnt, the dave fans have 6 classic albums that will forever be an influence/ and the sammy fans have their 6 to make them happy. Its not the end of the world if they dont make a record. Most bands are LUCKY to make it past 3 albums ok. Be happy with what we have been givin and stop being such a fuckin downer.

Just try and be positive..I agree that Mike should hav been in the game seeing as he is DEFINITELY apart of the legacy, but none of this is Wolfie’s fault…he didn’t persuade his Dad to be put in the band, he was asked. What would you have said? “Uhh nah I am sorry, but I’ll have to give up going on tour with one of the greatest bands of all time and playing for thousands the majority of the week because it is Mike’s place not mine. Sorry, Dad.” Much as I hate it, Mike, Sam, Dave, and Ed earned their bashing lol. I don’t agree with it, but their decisions did it. That is why the Wolf bashing should stop.

Happy to give the assist on the recap. I agree with what you said to Swade except I’d add there’s a 3rd group that likes both eras and has 12 albums to enjoy. That’s where I’m at. Kimberly…Wolf is a fine kid/young man without question. MA said so on his own website some time ago, classy guy that he is. But wouldn’t it be great if Wolf was on keyboard and MA was on bass/backing vocal. It ain’t gonna happen, I know. But if it did, nothing would be piped in, as in live without a net. Got a high beam visual…nice!

Like diamond dave used to say “I heard you missed us,we’re back”!!! I’m thankful that eddie and dave brought us the real VAN HALEN again.I understand that the fans want something right now,who doesnt!! Think back to the day when VAN HALEN released a killer album every year and then toured every year and we still could’nt get enough!!! I saw VH on the diver down tour three times and 1984 twice and took for granted they would be back!! After all the crap i never thought i’d see the day but it happend,VAN HALEN RETURNS!!! I’ve waited 25 years on a new VH album and i can wait a little while longer because it’s comin’!! As for wolfgang,i have a child of my own and dont blame eddie for bringing him into the VH mix.it’s still VAN HALEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys.

Could you explain this one to me? EVH said that they had just started early rehearsals. But, he also said that he won’t be able to play for four more months because of the surgery. So, my question is, how is he participating in the rehearsals if he’s not playing?
