What happened to the little guy a couple month’s ago that wrote here that had shaved his head and had a some kind of Cancer? I hope he is living today and wish him all the best.

I hope personally that he had the chance to meet The guy’s and have his picture taken with them.

I know Ed is without part of his tongue after the cancer and that probably affects his speech, but did anyone else wonder if Eddie was a bit sloshed in that video? I certainly hope not but he seemed off to me.

Hummm… the way he said “…were working on new tunes and tour…” had a bit of sarcasim and falseness to it. Plus, as tight lipped as EVH is on these subjects, why would he reveal this most important statement to some idiots and not to VHND, RollingStone, etc. I don’t believe it for a minute.

I suspect stretching Ed’s hand is problematic. He can probably only play chords. He also said they were writing, so he can clearly play at least a little.

Ed seems to be having trouble hearing too, which is no surprise. He’s got to have bad tinnitus after all those years in fornt of the Marshalls.

Good video with good info. EVH’s problems with his left hand will not go away. The surgery should buy him some time…but once Uncle Arthur comes visiting, the range of motion will continue to decrease. Hopefully EVH is serious about making an album next year, he needs to do it while his hand is somewhat functional.

he’ll want to do it himself – but he needs a conciense/barometer —someone that will challenge him and think outside the box.

they need at least 4-5 songs that are classic-style old school rocknrollers , just give it to dave and let him do what he wants-
they need a good bluesy-track ( ice cream man , sensible shoes , so this is love etc ) and let dave do what he wants-

THEN- ed can do whatever oddball artsy , cello , piano etc tracks that he wants and they’ll all feel satisfied.

I saw Extreme last night and they closed with “Mean Street”

It was incredible. They played a great show. The crowd was littered with Halen fans.

Well I`t great to see Ed and his family out and about. It`s really got to suck though that you can`t just go out on the town without being bothered. What a crazy world we live in.

I listend to Diver down yesterday and I love it as much as I did when it fist came out. My point is VH is one of those timeless bands that come around only once or twice in ones life time.Thanks guys and thats everyone from a to z..

Working on tunes and rehearsing doesn’t mean Ed has to be playing. He’s got a ton of tracks already recorded and he was recently in New York so I’m guessing he’s working with DLR on lyrics.

Ed PLEASE don’t tour without a new album!! We have seen two reunion tours in a row….thank you both were great! Put pen to paper, pick to guitar you should be able to hammer out 10+ songs (enough for a disc) fairly quick; with the tons of material you’ve got at 5150. See ya on the road after the Disc!!!

You know i think it would be one thing to walk up and say hi Ed and wolfie how’s things goin i’ve enjoyed your music etc….. but to pop up and stick a camera in your face is rude and their lucky that he didn’t punch them in their face!!! I know they are rockstars and blah blah blah but think of how you’d wanna be approached if you were out on the street!Atleast they did converse with them,but honestly if it were me i think i would’ve just walked away!

Ed said his hand would be fully healed in four months. He didn’t say that he couldn’t play anything until that point.

So he could be doing some early rehearsals and working on new tunes — at least to some degree — in the interim.
