Eddie Van Halen to appear on `Two and A Half Men’

Look who’s hot for…Two and A Half Men! Eddie Van Halen will play himself in an episode when the CBS comedy returns Sept. 21, executive producer Chuck Lorre confirmed to EW exclusively. Lorre approached the guitar god - while on his recent honeymoon, no less! – after learning he was a big fan of the sitcom. “He was gracious enough to do a cameo, which is really cool,” Lorre said.

Van Halen’s scene is expected to tape this week in Burbank, CA. And yes, promises Lorre, Van Halen will play the guitar.

My favorite TV-show, and everyones favorite guitarist! NICE! To bad there is a 99999999 year delay from the episode being send in the USA, and for it to be sent here in Denmark. Guess I’ll have to catch it on YouTube or something. But I’m looking forward to it!

I hate sitcoms and prime time television in general, but this show is actually pretty funny…to land EVH as a cameo puts this in the category of classic tv! lol

I think he was already recovering during his honeymoon… if you look at those pappaazzi shots of his left thumb grabbing the door handle…. Plus I saw a clip on YouTube in Dallas on his Birthday where his hand was wrapped up… Curiouser & curiouser…

Lorre approached Eddie on his honeymoon? Plus, Ed had hand surgery on his honeymoon too! It´s sounds like Ed´s honeymoon was kinda like a vacation rather than a honeymoon! lol

It will be cool to see him on television. Hopefully, all this will translate into a new album and tour in 2010. Time is flying by as Summer is almost over with! 2010 will be here soon. Although, if we really do get a new album I predict that it will be Fall of 2010. I hope that I am wrong, but we will see.

i was watching the us festival program last weekend on vh1, once again vh fans get screwed!! no footage.. they made it seem the scorpions headlined the whole thing! a couple of months ago they wipe off all the videos from youtube!

Not a bad show. I think john cryer and charlie sheen work well off each other. Not a big fan of new television though…

I wonder why eddie never made a guest apperance on family ties back in 85′? It was obvious that michael j fox was a fan. There’s even a couple of pictures of them together hanging out. Oh well…whatever right? It’s 2009 not 1985.

It always a slapstick-sort of funny show. Definitely not Seinfeld and great writers. When a sitcom tries to be funny, the writers can’t think straight, so they use a sex joke. Well, Two Men just take it to the extreme. Don’t like the immoral behavior of two adult men.
Also John Cryer over-acts immensely.
