This unique tee is modeled after a simple shirt design that Van Halen made during their “club days” in the mid seventies, before they scored a record deal. This dark heather gray shirt features the original Van Halen logo and has a classic, retro look.
Van Halen began their assault on the world in the early ’70s, playing high school gigs, backyard parties, wet t-shirt contests, and everywhere in between. By 1976 they had begun their move towards superstardom, playing the Starwood, the Whisky A Go Go, Gazzari’s, and the Pasadena Hilton.

That club days shirt has got to be one of the best VH shirts they’ve made. I love how it’s so different from all the black VH tees. You can see a big picture of it if you click on the “click for larger image” link for the shirt inside VH store. It looks SO mid-to-late seventies-rock-tee, in my opinion.
VH, if you’re listening, please make more shirts that look OLD like this. I love vintage (or at least vintage-looking) rock tees, especially Van Halen!
