Love this one the best!! The “Dream Is Over” intro and the “Beat It” guitar solo with “Little Guitars” drum intro, well, that is pretty badass!

Best one so far!

This one is the best of the three….extra credit for sneaking in the Beat It solo….very creative and fun to listen to.

I so totally agree with blindbubbacheeks. The #1 was great, #2 was kinda dissapointing for me, but this is the best one so far! Just such a cool idea!

You kinda of fall into the same problem on all of these mash-ups/mixes: you have some REALLY good ideas for mixes, but then you plop down a long part of a song (in this case, Right Now) and it comes across as lazy. In other words, the first minute and ten seconds of this latest mix are ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, but then it seems like you find it easier to suddenly drop in a long piece of a song, and then come back to the creative mixing sometime later in the ’song’. Here’s a thought: create a mix that is only around 3:30 - 4 minutes long, and POUR that creativity into it that you put into the first minute of this third try. I guarantee you that you’ll have a bit of a cult following after that.

this one was excellent as the other two, but when you blended without you and right now, there was 2 glitches that i noticed unless thats the way its suppose to be which in this case it probably is! other then that its pretty excellent! btw, is there a chance for a fourth one? sorry but i cant never get enough of vh, just ask anybody that knows me…

This mix is bar far the best. The last 4 minutes is really good. Nice addition to the MJ solo. This was a very creative idea, but could use a little more creativity and less “whole” songs during the mix. The Lamborghini exhaust with the drill was a great idea. Rock ON!!!

First time hearing this love it, want it for my i-pod.

Beat it solo was really sick! Very creative, indeed!

Dude…normally I would think this kind of thing was a travesty. Absolute blasphemy. Altering in any way…a Van Halen song. Even semi-official remixes on 45’s in the 80’s were totally gay and fucking wrong. Don’t fuck with a Van Halen song, in any way. But you caught some of the best moments in time for a Van Halen fan. And reminded me of a few fucking gems. Source of Infection - amazing. Thanks for reminding me and motivating me to get out some my Van Halen CDs…

I actually loved this one (except for the long drawn-out parts). It could have even been better without Sammy’s voice in it. I’d like to hear what he can do with an all-instrumental one that uses the individual pieces to make a new composition, like the first and last parts does on this.

yes chris omeara. an all instrumental would be totally cool… however, just dont pick on sammy, why not Drop dave and gary as well.

Wow. Came in thinking this would be lame, but this is really nice work.

AWESOME!! Brings back some sweet memories!!! Hope you can make more!!

The first section had it, the last 2 minutes were great, simple rule is no voice unless its a few words to add to the drums, a foot tapping back beat and then just pick two instrumentals and let em roll on over the drums, I read somewhere that EVH’s music teacher Dr Fisher from Pasadena City College once said “if it sounds good, then it is good, great job overall on this, if ya get it on cd I’d buy it!!!

Thanks to all…
Those 3 Van Halen mixes were done in 2005. I’m not doing any “Van Halen only” mixes anymore, I creating Classic Rock Mixes since 2006 and it’s kind of an extension of my VH mixes ’cause there plenty of Van Halen magic arrangements in all of my 8 Classic Rock mixes.

Can you download the mp3 file?
July 23rd, 2009 at 9:21 pm
How do i get the mp3?
July 23rd, 2009 at 9:47 pm
I’ve download the first two versions before and liked them. This 3rd one has some bright spots, but didn’t like when any of the songs played out. They went a little too long. The creativity that goes on during the mix of beginnings and intramentals is awsome. Don’t mind part of a song sneaking in here and there, but in this mix they went on a little too long.

On the first post of each topic there’s a Free MP3 download link…

July 24th, 2009 at 10:26 am
Mr. Chayer, I will give you an A for this effert. Much better then the others, but I still don’t understand, maybe I missed it bit I don;t think I did,Van Halen has only one #1 hit and I don’t recall hearing any part of “Jump”. I also never liked “Right now”. I look forward to hearing more from you. All the best.

This is Phenomenal - period.

Great to hear something by Van Halen anytime. I love’d this mix of stuff. I hope Eddie recovers from his hand surgery and puts together a CD with Dave. It won’t be the same. They aren’t the care-free bacholor 20 year olds of 1979 anymore but I’ll bet they still got some gems up their sleeves. Anyway, great job Roland C!

This is the best one. Great mixes. I love that he used the Solo from Beat It with the Top of the World stabs. Using the off beat drum riff to AFU Naturally Wired. Awesome! Good stuff.

Dear Roland,
“GENIUS,absolute Genius”!!-keep it up!!
“just brainstorming”here-how`bout mixing together “sensible shoes” with “finish what ya`started”
In fact, what about mixin`ROTH`S solo material chronologically with VanHagar`s?-I think you just might find
some amazingly “co-existent” results.
Call it a “request” or “task” if you will, just know
I believe you DO have the talent to pull it off!!
MIXX-ON!!!
July 27th, 2009 at 7:05 pm
