I welcome this game with open arms as it will only expose new audiences to the awesomeness of van halen and perhaps even take those ears away from crappy new bands too! It couldn’t come sooner!

I disagree, I don’t play the games (yes, guitar 25+ years) but my kids play. This game gets you into the mental state needed to play an instrument, and most importantly, gets you to focus on the most important part of guitar, the rhythm (ie. the beat). It is a great, but very limited introduction to learning how music/songs are built. And to get good, you have to practice, practice,…. . Positive in my opinion.

i’d PREFER a game that recogdnised all the alumni …but van halen has always pretended that whatever version of van halen exists is ” the REAL van halen ” i’m used to it.

this game is ok, i might get it for my kids ( PS3 80-gig ..they LOVE it ) but its niether here nor there .

i would much rather ED have some clips of him and al jamming at 5150 and posting them onhis website as a teaser for the next record ( ? )
