You have to listen to it a few times, before forming an opinion. If you want to hear original quality material with "no covers" or "radio hits" check it out. Slam dunk made me want to blow chunks! And this is a major concern as DLR and EVH prepare for thier response to Chickenfoot. I mean, what is left in the tank? While I don't think Sammy, Michael, and company were thinking about DLR and EVH when they wrote and recorded Chickenfoot, I do see the opposite happening. Yes, revenge is in the air! Since now SH, DLR, and EVH have all had thier "Eat 'em and Smile" albums, the question remains if DLR and EVH can create an "Eat 'em and Smile II": devoured and beaming. I'm still listening to Chickenfoot and so far I can't help compairing it to Van Hagar. Although the band sounds great! Chad Smith's outstanding rock drumming is a pleasant surprise for me.
