He is part of the original, “real” Van Halen. But let’s face it, he can’t sing anymore. The magic is gone. Why do you think he played freakin’ Vegas for a while? As far as Sammy goes … No, he is not part of the core VH roots. However, nobody can say he doesn’t rock. He is bad ass and made a great addition to VH. Finally, to all the hardcore DLR fans who keep bashing Sammy – Remember, DAVE QUIT! You can’t blame Ed for finding a new singer after the group was abandoned by Dave. -Peace Out! If Eddy never makes another note of music in our lifetime, I will fully be grateful for all he has given. He owes nothing to anyone! Far as i am concerned Eddy, you need not explain anything to anyone. Those of us that are the true die-hard fans do not pass judgment on you. Yes he put out some of the alltime best albums of all time but as a person, well lets just say I would not ever want to work with him. Mike did not quit Van Halen and there were TOO many interviews at the time about Hagar having to twist Eddies arm to get Mike back in the band when he( Hagar) returned so Eddies new stories about past history arent even close.
