CHICKENFOOT: Audio Samples Of Entire Album Available!

chickenfoot_logo_small 30-second audio clips of all 11 tracks from the self-titled debut album from CHICKENFOOT are available for streaming at the web site of the Swiss multimedia shop CeDe.

CHICKENFOOT is the new rock supergroup comprised of drummer Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS), bassist Michael Anthony (ex-VAN HALEN), guitarist Joe Satriani and vocalist Sammy Hagar (ex-VAN HALEN).

I will not bash CF. Stuff sounds ok, except that lyrically Sammy does not do much for me. Has not since 5150, my favorite of the Hagar stuff. I think he needs to co-write songs to get fresh perspective. Obviously, he is rich, and in the RRHOF so my opinion doesn’t mean shit to Sam, but I think he is missing out on an opportunity to broaden his lyrics. You can only be so prolific. I like the MA/CS combo rhythmically. Satch is a smooth ass player, but I don’t get any vibe from his songwriting or soloing frankly. Ed is still the man…he may have more issues than National Geographic, but he’s an icon. I have played guitar for 30 years…and yes I know Satch has a bigger toolkit than Ed, but…it’s art Ed’s expression suits me better. That’s why baskin Robbins has 31 flavors. I think I’d rather hang out w/ Sam and Mike, but ..musically ….gimme Ed and Al…..PLEASE…ED…GIVE US SOME MUSIC BROTHER.

I’m gonna take my wa-wa pedal and go to another sandbox because my band is better than your band!!! DLR is my idol!! Eddie is super swell!! Jeeeeeeeezzzz what a bunch of whiny babies!! Its new music brought to you buy members from 4 of my favorite bands. (Satch, RHCP, VH,SH) I think if you did not like Sammy solo or with Montrose then you were not a VH fan during the Hagar years (although they did sell more records and have more hits in that era). I like VH with all three singers (three singers, sounds like someone has issues with their ego????). Anywho, quit your bitchin’ and move on! I look forward to new VH as well!! And think this year Chickenfoot will RULE THE ROOST!

Okay, I won’t bash Chickenbeak because I like what they are doing musically. I don’t hate Hammy Saggar- I just think his lyrics aren’t any good (for his entire career)…and surely me posting this on a VH website shouldn’t offend anyone. He uses the same stuff over and over again. Ask yourself, haven’t I heard these lyrics before. I would have rather heard a no-name singer with CF.

I hate to break it to the Sammy haters. DLR never wrote a good lyric plus the guy cannot sing anymore. Most of you know this so I don’t know why you respond by hating on Sam. Dave is a singer not your dad so don’t take it so personal. For those of you who are awaiting new VH material expect it to be with VH’s forth singer. Dave pipes were done when he did the DLR Band album. SLAM DUNK. Oh yeah, DLR did write good lyrics.
