From The New Yorker:
May 28
They may have a silly name, but the members of the new group Chickenfoot—the guitar whiz Joe Satriani, the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith, the former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, and the erstwhile Van Halen front man Sammy Hagar—know more than a thing or two about how to rock. They come to the Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza. (www.chickenfoot.us.)

All kidding aside. Thanks Joe Satriani for signing my
double CD of Time Machine down in San Diego in 95 or96.
I’m holding in my hand right now. You wrote a cool note
on it too. Maybe Chickenfoot will rock Hospitality Point in Mission Bay San Diego one again. Go for it Mike
and Sam

I don’t mean any disrespect to any member of CF or this board but this site is suppose to be about VH.. I truly love Sammy but I don’t come here to see CF or what other former members are doing! I understand that there’s really not much going on in VH land but if your going to call your site VHND then you should dedicate your site to that!…..
Cheers!

Hey guys face it. Edward has not much cared about the fans in the recent years. Some of it I understand; family issues, illness, spending time with his child. Ed has the Gene Simmons disease now. Make as much money of the name and out out nothing new.

Alex Van Halen compared the band ‘Van Halen’ to ‘Led Zeppelin recently while being accused of treating their fans like ‘Black Dog’s”.Some Fans feel that Van Halen is “Over The Hill and Far Away” musically and must be experiencing a “Communication Breakdown” with the press about their new music.”The Song Remains The Same” in press releases regarding new music as fans receive ” No Quarter” and no release dates .While most fans are hopeful of hearing new “Rock n Roll” from Legendary Rock Band , some feel by the time new material comes out they will be taking the “Stairway To Heaven”.David Lee Roth when asked about the situation stated “Its been along time since I Rock and Rolled”. Although no one has this on record.

Van Halen was in The New Yorker when they played NYC last year with Roth. There was a similar cartoon and write up. VHND.com must have missed that one. I didn’t see it here. Maybe they were too busy reporting on the Fresno Wabo or something Red Hot Chili Peppers related.

@Fredrocks: thanks…
Funny they mention Wolf as being Alex’s kid. All we can do now is wait for VH’s new music later on this year like Ed promised before.

Michael Anthony looks like an old lesbian in that cartoon.

Someone mentioned, there’s a war on. I don’t think of it as a war so much as just a plain old beat down. Chickenfoot has arrived and there’s not much anybody can do.
