Van Halen talks about possibility of new CD & tour!
Over the last few months there’s been virtually no major Van Halen news - as in - no actual news about whether or not Van Halen plans on recording an album and/or touring in the near future. That is, until now! Eddie has finally broken his silence in an interview! Spinner.com gives us a tidbit from their interview with Eddie, which will be posted online soon:

Eddie Van Halen Considering New Tunes With David Lee Roth
Eddie Van Halen has a few milestones coming up this year. First, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will wed his fiancee, Janie Liszweski, in June. Then, he’ll attend the high school graduation of his son — and bass player — Wolfgang. But after that, Eddie hopes to release new music with the current incarnation of the legendary band that bears his name. And, as he tells Spinner, yes, that includes David Lee Roth.
“Dave, Wolfie, Alex and I are a band,” he tells Spinner in an upcoming Spinner Interview. “I hope that after Janie and I get married, and Wolfie graduates, that we sit down and discuss recording new music, which I have tons of. If Dave’s up for singing … then do another tour, and just see where it takes us. Actually, next week or the week after, Wolfie, Alex, and I are gonna start jamming. Maybe we’ll give Dave a call and see what he’s up to. He’s off, always doing his own thing, and he checks in every now and then to see how we’re doing.”

No Mike…not buying the cd. Eddie has gone crazy. And I am surely not going to buy a $150 dollar ticket for some drunkard to screw up his parts.

I can just see it…Eddie putting together a Live CD of their reunion tour. That’s what will be considered “new.” The problem with this attempt is they will have lost all momentum of the reunion from last year by the time they come out with new material. Sorry for being pessimistic but history with Eddie has me feeling this way.

Just think a little.
1 - How many times “just somebody lie” have you heard Eddie saying: “tons of mterial”???
2 - We will “DISCUSS” new music - nothing happened yet.
3 - Ed talks about tour first - “If Dave’s up for singing … then do another tour”, Ya know what that means - one more tour with no music - Sammy had some dignity to tour with three new songs at least.
4 - Will there be ENOUGH rock??? - Just read this and think about: “some of it may surprise fans…this isn’t exactly bang-your-head-against-the-wall stuff.”
5 - And Roth: “His spokeswoman said he couldn’t be reached for comment on his future with the band”. They dont even talk with eacch other! Money, money, money. If Dave’s up for singing. I’m not holding my breath.

NOBODY PANIC!!-ROTH`S “PR”lady got it right.HALF his time is doin`EMT,the other HALF he`s “incommunicato”-ie;(in the jungle or hangin` off a mountain).Plus,-He knows enough to keep quiet`bout all things VH.(for legacy`s sake).If it all goes to hell again though,He`d have the best answer why i`m sure.As far as Eddie`s comment: “This isn`t bang your head music etc”.AGAIN, i wouldn`t worry.DLR is more than capable making “pretty” music sound COOL!!-(womeninlove,secrets,pushcums2shuv,littleGuitarsGoodtimes,Hina,Blacksand etc.)-LET IT ROCK!!!

mike is gone, just like sam and gary and for the longest time dave was gone. we have to realize that.
mike is with sam in chickenfoot.
i honestly did not expect this~! wow.
better than the usual do nothing for 3 years and go back to drinking..
i think his women put his head on straight!
