The guitar looks awesome Ed. It sounded awesome in concert. I will be looking to get one once I have the funds. I just hope it does not cost $25,000.00 (lol)! Can’t wait to hear new music like the guy above said. We need some new Van Halen Jamz!Get that guitar and make some tunes!

Great to see Ed looking healthy, talking coherent and generally seeming to be in a good place. Now… let’s get together with the band and cut a new CD!

Actually, Edward looks great but his voice is shot. He sounds like Froggy from The Little Rascals.
And he’s smoking a cigarette.
I’m all for “live and let live” but that guy had s history of cancer in the mouth.

Damn, Ed is sounding old. Did you hear his voice? His fluid filled lungs just reek like the bottom of a dirty ashtray. Raise your hand if you think Eddie will still be alive five years from now…

I wonder if that backround music was live stuff without the crowd.
Concerning the guitar - I just can’t get enthusiastic about the design.

Looking and Sounding great Eddie! I am looking forward to playing the new Wolfgang Guitar! Caught the Tour in Tampa and really liked the look of the White Wolfgang you were playing that night! Great TONE!!!! All the best with the Band, your health, and the new guitar!!!

Edward! Loved what I saw in Manchester - awesome show! The guitar looks great, can’t wait to try it out. (So far my favortie is STILL the Ernie Ball Music Man Axis you played int the 90’s, but this new Wolfgang may just cjange my mind!)
December 10th, 2008 at 11:19 am
I know Ed’s not big on people emulating or copying him so for him to share his “secrets” of tone is huge. I can’t wait try one of these baby’s out!

Don’t mean to get all negative, but I just wonder if I’m the only VH-fan that thinks his tone is getting worse and worse. It aint nostalgia for the old days and his 70’s marshall rig, cause I simply wasn’t around back then. I love mean streets, but don’t exactly think the “tone” in the video does it any justice.

I agree with Andy if u go back and listen to EVH Solo’s on Youtube, The best was the Sharp Crunchy sound of his 1982 US festival Solo, Since then and mainly from the Sammy’s years on ,his tone is get more bubbly sounding. Would Just wish he went back to the Dive Down sound…

I like the look of the thing and I’ve always been a big fan of Fender guitars. I will definitely be sitting down with one of these when they come out.
December 10th, 2008 at 3:28 pm
Who cares !!!!!!!!!!!
December 10th, 2008 at 7:41 pm
I miss the red and white stipes on the Van Halen guitars
December 10th, 2008 at 8:31 pm
I AGREE!!! BEING A CLASSIC VH FAN,IT WOULD BE KILLER TO SEE SOME OF THE GUITARS STRIPED UP VAN HALEN STYLE!!!!
December 10th, 2008 at 9:28 pm
What ? I can’t believe soooo many people think this is a “new” guitar. You guyz livin’ in a cave ? It’s a Fender made re-issue of the Peavey Wolfgang. There’s nothing new here except he flipped the logo, cut out the “scoop”, replaced the licensed floyd with a real one (?) and uses fender pickups, and all most likely made in Mexico like the amps, etc.
Come on Ed, who ya foolin ???

there always has to be one clown in the bunch and he is above me…make your money ed and enjoy your business..Dr. CRock…hehehehehe.
December 11th, 2008 at 7:16 am
This may end up being a great guitar. However, I’m still fond of the Music Man.
December 11th, 2008 at 8:12 am
Dr.Crock, you my friend, are the only clown
December 11th, 2008 at 8:45 am
who cares where its built, its a damn good guitar.
and it fits in good with my eric johnson strat and my paul reed smith and gibson SG.

Ed,
I can hardly wait to play this guitar. I am sure that it will be great. Not sure where I can find one to check out. I hope the price will be reasonable so a working musician can afford it.
I would like to say that I have great respect and admiration for you. I love your music. One of my goals before I check out is to see you play.

2 evh products I’d like to see in the future. 1)pickups, 2) tube combo practice amp.
December 12th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
Eddie could make magic with any guitar, thats why he’ll always be the best ever
December 14th, 2008 at 7:11 am
Ed is an amazing musician. Why any of you have to put him down or detract from his legacy is beyond me. I guess you are just jealous that he is the greatest guitarist that has ever lived. It’s sad that there are people out there who didn’t aspire to there dreams so they feel it necessary to tear down others…
December 14th, 2008 at 9:32 pm
Brian, they ARE going to make a Ltd. Ed. Frankie relic pup, but its probably gonna cost a fortune.
I hope this guitar is at least reasonably priced, unlike the peaveys and EBMMs. It seems pretty sick!
mical vee, Eddie has a striped one of these wolfies. the pic is on the cover of guitar world (one of 4 collectible covers), however idk if it’s a one-off for him or if it will be mass-produced this way.
December 14th, 2008 at 9:33 pm
and yeah a combo tube 5150 amp would be bad@$$
December 15th, 2008 at 8:27 am
Got the mag, read the article, watched the dvd,??? How could there be NO info on price, availabilty, etc.??? The website has no info. The poster ad inside the mag says “available January 2009″, but the big time dealers I talked to have no info either & say we’ll lucky if we can “order” them in January 2009.
December 15th, 2008 at 9:41 am
Isn’t any curious at all about the music that accompanies this clip? Is it from the last tour?
February 8th, 2009 at 7:34 pm
The videos have been removed from youtube. Might want to either repost and relink the videos, or take down this story.
