i’ve been playing drums for a long time and gosh i even understand that this list is shit.
It should go
1.)Tommy Aldridge
2.)Neil Peart
3.)Thomas Lang
4.)John Bonham
5.)Alex Vanhalen
6.)Jimmi “The Rev”
7.)Joey Jordison
8.)Phill Collins
9.)Mitch Mitchell
10.)Buddy Rich

I mean seriously use your head when you post things…
Don’t just post them because you feel those people should deserve it because they have a good band.
Post what you need to post based on their skill.
I’ve seen so many ridiculous postings on these websites now these days it’s ridiculous.

Wow….many great drummers in the wrong order of influence on that list, but why would Scott Rockenfield (Queensryche) or Dave Lombardo (Slayer) be completely left off that list in favor of drummers that could not hold a candle to their prowess? Keep in mind, INFLUENCE, meaning the ability to influence others, usually in a mass audience capacity that makes one want to participate within that given influenced means. I can tell you from personal experience, being a guitarist, but first a drummer for many years, these were the guys that made me run to the drum kit.

It astounds me that some people truly believe Lars Ulrich is a great drummer. The only list I can envision him on is one picking the worst rock drummers of all time. Anyone who has ever played the drums seriously knows that guy is garbage. You can put Tommy Lee on that list too. Two guys with little ability hiding behind their double bass pedals. Those two clowns shouldn’t be mentioned anywhere near the likes of John Bonham and Neil Peart.
