New “Vintage” Van Halen Shirts!
Due to extremely popular demand, Van Halen has finally reissued two of their most classic shirt designs! Both are in stock & shipping now only at Van Halen Store.
Van Halen Vintage 1978 Logo Shirt:
The logo that introduced the world to the greatest rock band ever! Ever since “Runnin’ with the Devil” erupted from the radio in 1978, the look and sound of rock ‘n’ roll has never been the same. Eddie Van Halen totally reinvented the guitar, created a whole new genre of playing. David Lee Roth was the undisputed frontman of his era, an invaluable force which propelled the band to superstardom. Alex Van Halen’s sound and energy were undeniable, and Michael Anthony’s signature high harmonies were a distinctive stamp on the band’s California-cool vibe. It was as if this band was from another planet. The perfect rock band was born.
This shirt features the classic Van Halen logo, paying tribute to Van Halen’s untouchable original lineup and their revolutionary debut album. The back of the shirt is blank.
Sizes: The 1978 Logo shirt is available in both ADULT and YOUTH sizes. From YOUTH SMALL through ADULT 3XL!
Van Halen Vintage 1984 “Tour of the World” Shirt:
Features the famous Van Halen 1984 design, with the flying eagle carrying “VAN HALEN” in it’s talons. A “Tour of the World” banner floats above planet Earth. The back of the shirt is blank.
About the 1984 tour: Van Halen’s legendary 1984 tour was their most massive tour ever, consisting of 75 crew members, midget body guards, and 175,000 tons of equipment loaded onto nine trucks and five buses, bringing the world’s biggest rock ‘n’ roll music party to millions of people. David Lee Roth performed a kung fu-style sword dance. Eddie used a tray table on his guitar, allowing him to play horizontally. The band employed their ground breaking “grid system” that allowed them to more easily connect with female fans. The Mighty Van Halen was a music and visual tsunami that left nothing and no one untouched, often playing 2 or 3 nights in cities, annihilating everything in it’s path. Their t-shirts, especially this one, were the must-have souvenirs that showed everyone that YOU were a part of it! To this day, the “1984 Eagle” shirt has been one of the most sought-after vintage shirts to rock ‘n’ roll collectors.
Sizes: The 1984 shirt is available in Adult SMALL through 3XL!

Both shirts are Officially Licensed and are priced at just $19.95 each.

Great! The old Van Halen shirts are my favorite rock shirts from the 80’s. I love the 1984 Eagle. Those Dave-era VH shirts rule!

I can’t believe it took Van Halen so long to remake their old tour shirts! Every other huge rock band has been doing it for years… Stones, AC/DC, Zeppelin, Doors, etc. On the plus side, it’s cool that Van Halen hasn’t saturated the market with them like those other bands. These won’t end up being *everywhere*.
It’s nice to have the original logo shirt with no dates on the back. The 1984 “Tour Of The World” one is awesome, as well. I’m definitely getting a couple of both! But what about the 1982 Lion one, and the killer “1980 Invasion”? Please make those designs too. I’m sure the demand is there.

I see these guys doing everything except putting together a new album. Talk about living off the past. I’m sure they’ll put it off even further by announcing an overseas tour with Roth begining in February of ‘09.

I bought a “Tour of the World” t-shirt at the last concert in Grand Rapids but it reads 2008 instead of 1984. And it was more then $20. Fun shirt!

I would love for them to put out the 1984 concert on DVD/Blue Ray.

The Mighty Van Halen was a music and visual tsunami that left nothing and no one untouched, often playing 2 or 3 nights in cities, annihilating everything in it’s path.
I saw the mighty VH twice that tour. They played less than 90 minutes, including all those ego filled solo’s.Even Ed later called that tour a clown show. They only played 11 or 12 songs. The classic Vh band peaked live on the Fair Warning tour. Diver Down tour was good but too many covers. It was easy to see that all was not good in the VH camp during thier NYC area shows. They were going thru the motions……….
