It totally nails it. Craig is spot on when he says that over another rhythm section it wouldn't work, or sound right. Makes you apprectiate the original Michael Anthony/Alex rhythm section all the more, especially Michael Anthony. They sound very much like Eddie's tunes on "The Wild Life" soundtrack (a movie from 1984, with Chris Penn and Eric Stoltz. In my opinion, those songs -- and Craig's -- are OK, but kind of bland and not nearly as good as the good ol' VH sound. Still, I give Craig props on recording these songs. Guess Dave got Eddie back on track.. blablabla..". Only "suspicious" thing is the absence of fill-ins, but it certainly rocks.
