Mad Props to the Van Halen frontman for going to all the trouble, time, and expense to do this, just for “all the people here tonight!”

love the shots of the crew working on the set up with the house lights on……that was me some years ago working on every show that came through LAKELAND and Tampa……thanks for saving those shots Dave…….those were awesome times that not even the guys working today could ever experience….

This is a very bad sign thats Dave’s website is up and running. Eddie wouldn’t let Dave do this on his own web site. Ed’s needs to be in total control ever since he won the war of who needs who more. Band is probably broken up. Glad i Saw them 5 times.

THIS IS IT…. These pics represent EXACTLY the seemingly effortless style that Van Halen had with Dave Roth, the stuff that helped set them apart from all the others… and that they lost completely with Sam.
It reminds me of the pics from the Diver Down sleeve mixed with some great Neil Zlozower concert shots.

That’s Van Halen!!!

That’s just great!!! Just rub it in for us poor suffering VH fans in Australia!!! I can’t really enjoy these photos enough if I haven’t felt the full throttle of the mighty Van Halen in concert!!! I just cry when something new comes from VH, because I know they won’t make it down under!! Just give us the new album please…just in time for Christmas. Christmas is just not the same without a new VH album!!

24 years had passed since the time I bought my first Van Halen album and slammed it on my record player…forever to be changed by what I heard. On Oct 7th 2007 I was 2nd row at your Toronto show, with tears of joy streaming down my face I watched you guys take the stage and fulfill all my teenage rock fantasies. Thank you so much for the memories Dave…and for those yet to come.

I think dude above might be right that Dave posting these on his own site could be bad news, especially if Eddie still has issues about ‘being in charge’ of the band. But, it looks like Dave - not VH - hired the photographer Robert Yager to follow him on the tour - see more here:
http://altpick.com/yager
They should publish a photobook. And - as everyone else is sayin’ - open up the damn vaults. There should be a box set of unreleased material. There should be a 25th anniversary edition of ‘1984′ with all THIRTEEN tracks that were finished during the session.
C’mon Eddie - you’re frittering the VH legend away the longer you don’t do this.

This is not a bad omen that Dave has his web site back up and runnning, this is just the same old Van Halen that drove Sammy and Mike out of the band because they never seem to want to work on anything new or put out any news for the people who spent 93 million bucks on this last tour. We need to look at who is always working on something new for the fans that would be Sammy and his bands.

Glad I got to see VH with Dave. Awesome tour! Saw two shows, Greensboro N.C. and Atlanta. I expected the best and got the best.

Nice to see that “with age” we can forget about the bad times and remember to good times.
Need a new album just to get the world Van Halenized again.
ALL new music of today is just CRAAAAP

These images represent the best of this band. I am not reading too much into the fact that the VH website is quite since they’ve never really kept it up anyway. But the photos, Dave’s site, and reaction can only get a razzle out of Ed and Alex to not sit there and gray up and maybe get their asses into recording touring mode, with Mikey included.
Cheers,
JD

Thanks Dave for the great pictures. Looks like a Mac was used to assemble the picts on this site. Two greatest things to come out of California - Van Halen, Apple Computers and Products…. oh wait 3 things, California Girls!
Michael De Jong - Calgary, Alberta
PS : looking forward to some new material

Sure wish these photos were captioned, wish some of the personnel with the band were identified. Yes, privacy should be maintained for some of these, but would be nice to know.

Best Tour in History, Ed looks sober, Dave looks better than he was 20 plus years ago.
