i saw extreme for the first time when they hit chicago a couple months ago. they were pretty darn good- gary is a very theatrical and energetic frontman and nuno can really shred. my only complaint was that they didn't play my favorite song by them- "hip today". i think it would've fit their comeback set perfectly. king's X was also very good.

When will people realize that David Lee Roth's carnival act was done after Diver Down. It's guys who need to relive there youth via Roth by trying to validate what they listened and heard. Van Halen is Eddie, Alex & Michael with Roth along for the ride. Was he great frontman? Yes. Was his schtick tired yes. Look at Roth now...that frontman (although better vocally) is now being grabbed by the balls by Eddie & Alex.

Minor set list correction: They didn't play "Warheads" at the HoB show. "It's A Monster" was song #4.

I agree though...awesome show. King's X opened and they were impressive as well.
