its awesome (sexy chicks singing man) but come on,
WTF IS THIS?!
next they are going to have a Backstreet Boys Reunion with a special setlist including Van Halen’s “Atomic Punk” with Nick Jonas on his signature Squire guitar, Chewbacca on bass, Hanna Montana on vocals, and Heath Ledger’s dead body on drums. while that’s going down, Backstreet Boys are burning all the copies of Fair Warning and stunned Van Halen fans (including me) are all in a great depression of worthlessness. for those who agree, you have a taste in music. we can save society in this cosmic universal fashion we call “music”.

The mix of this song is lousy, the vocals can’t be heard, keys are too loud what a drum machine (it sucks) I think this variation of Ice Cream Man SUCKS.

I kinda like it. I appreciate the fact that Van Halen inspires all kinds of people to do their own version of one of their many great songs, just for fun.
Remember the “Everybody Wants Some” tribute CD? That was great because no band on it tried to sound like Van Halen. They all had very unique interpretations of songs. Why bother trying to play it just like the album, or trying to play it better than the album? No one out there is going to be able to play guitar like Eddie, sing like Dave, or have background vocals as good as Michael’s.
I like to see it when people like John Mayer play Panama in his set, or people sitting at home come up with these off-the-wall remakes like this. How could a fan not appreciate the effort and the nod, at least?

Interesting. Repetitive images, poor sound/mixing quality, but thanks for sharing nonetheless.

Seriously, this is pretty ridiculous…am I right? Really, it’s almost sacreligious.

Wow, that really sucked. Are the guys of VH ok with this crap?

God for our sakes I hope not. If they are we just may end up with another album like Van Halen III, and we certainly don’t need another one.

The music for 3 was insane and yet everyone bashed it. Perhaps thtas why Ed’s being stingy about putting out new shit! If Hagar sang on it there would have been no complaints.

I am a Van Halen Fan from the beginning, from late December 1977 when I first heard You Really Got Me on the radio.
The difference from Van Halen’s self titled album and Van Halen III in 1998 is the writing and that was terrible. With that album it was as if Eddie was high, the writing was all over the place it was as if a 5 year old wrote the songs.
I saw several interviews with the band and everybody seamed normal but Eddie. He was constantly mumbling and not paying attention. I have seen Van Halen 12 times the first time was in 1980 and the rest from 1984 to date. I saw all 3 singers and they all did a good job. I think Gary may could have still been with the band if the song writing was not so bad on III, but things happen for a reason.
We just have to see what the future holds for the band. So as Dave would say “I am a professional waiter now”, waiting for new a new DVD, album whatever we just just have to see what is in the next chapter of As Van Halen Turns.

We the true fans have already seen the “New Music”. Go home if you don’t like it. Period.!!!
September 16th, 2008 at 12:31 am
??? New music??? where??? Van Halen has not come out with anything new. OK i’ll give you the 3 new songs on Best of Both Worlds, but 3 songs don’t make an album

I actually like this remake. But, and someone else may have pointed this out too, VH did NOT write this song. They, themselves, did a cover of this song. So, to compare this remake to another remake isn’t comparing apples to apples.
