Oh man that was horrible. John Mayernaise is a guitar hero? In what Bizarro world? How about Ace Frehley or Brian May, oh I forgot Rolling Stone magazine is a bias rag.

I’m always happy to see EDDIE VAN HALEN get any type of regonition….but rolling stone magazine sucks. Any “music” magazine that puts the cast of “THE HILLS” on its cover (*see last month) will never get my subscription or intrest. Rolling Stone is the biggest sell out magazine in the world. I remember about 10 years ago seeing the backstreet boys on its cover acting like rock stars….that was it for me…and i’ve never looked since. Long live EDDIE VAN HALEN…DEATH to Rolling Stone Magazine…

How does Ace Frehley, Alex Lifeson or Ted Nugent get left out?
I agree with previous post, rolling stone magazine sucks.

Speaking of getting Left Out, where Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Robin Trower, Jimmy Page? Yeah, I know, you cant get all of them, but Mayer??? WHAT?? Didnt RS have the poor judgment to NOT have a single Van Halen Song in their top 100 of all time????? Yeah, they Suck, but so many do.

It’s very cool seeing Eddie Van Halen standing next to Jimmy Page on that(just recent)Rolling Stone front cover, although they should have had Carlos Santana standing next to Eddie’s right side instead of John Mayer, but at leasr Ed is next to Jimmy and getting major recognition for his guitar work.

All these guys are major players, I meen Eddy the great, Budy Guy, BB, and yes John Mayer, that guy has the vive, he is a bluss man and he kicks ass, he composess great sweet songs, and my left outs: Billy Gibons, Angus Young, and Malcom, and my favorite of all times, disputing the first place with Eddy: Dime Darell Abott, (RIP), I miss that guy, Alex Lifeson and my last Neal Shon (Journey)

Nugent?

The people most missing are Dave Gilmour, Jeff Beck and Keith Richard. Santana isn’t in the same class as Jimmy Page and Eddie Van Halen. He didn’t even write most (if any) of his hits.
