Also, as some of you may have heard, Ed’s ex-wife, Valerie Bertinelli, has signed on as a spokesperson for weight-loss company Jenny Craig, and has vowed to lose 30 pounds. She mentions in a new interview with Access Hollywood a post-rehab conversation she recently had with Ed:
“[Ed] just said, ‘Congratulations, good for you,’”[Bertinelli said]. “He said, ‘I got sober, you’re getting thin, this is great!’”
Way to go, Ed. Glad you’re out. Hope things are looking brighter to you these days.
Now, about all that new music piling up at 5150 …

Whoo-whee. Years of alcoholism cured by 1 month of intense rehab.
I doubt it.
Doesn’t it make more sense to spend more time getting your act together, rather than jumping right back into a bunch of promotional events?
I feel sorry for Wolfie.

Way to go Ed now comes the hard part as alcohol is the hardest of all the drugs to quit. I hope you can keep it cool; and get back together for a concert with Diamond Dave and the rest of the gang.

Eddie,
I want to like you, but you make it hard! If this reunion tour with DLR doesn’t happen, that’s it for me. I don’t want to see a tour with Sammy, nobody else - just DLR period! I have nothing against Sammy, I’m sure he’s a nice guy. The music you made with Sammy was good, the music you made with Dave was GREAT and it’s stood the test of time. I hope you’ve beat your addiction. There’s a reason you reach for the bottle, and I hope you discovered that reason and dealt with it. If you have not dealt with the issue, you’ll continue to drink, it’s as simple as that. But I have to say, stop toying with your fans: you’re either going to do a reunion tour or not. Decide once and for all. It’s gotten old and your chipping away at “Van Halen’s” legacy.

This whole thing has been a mess since the break up 23yrs ago! It BLOWS MY MIND THAT Michael,EDDIE,ALEX,DAVE,and Sammy DID NOT GET UP ON THAT STAGE together as a unit to show the fans hey “It is Ok” AT the ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME!!!That was a once in a lifetime deal never to be revisited again. IT IS GONE ONLY TO BE REMEMBERED AS A TRUE CLUSTER #%*@! It is crazy behavior. Eddie conveniently decides to go to rehab. ALex just could care less and Dave sits in the audience and does not have a prearranged aggrement with Velvet revolver to perform. I however cannot blame dave for not wanting to play with the lame &*$!! Paul Schafer band. In regards to the reunion tour that took a dump…I truly am blown away that Eddie is so F#$%$# up that he made the decision to throw Michael Anthony out of the band because Michael Anthony Loves to play music (With Sammy) and not be a freak of nature and live like a recluse. With out Michael you got no chorus and the Awesome bass line. I have a sneaky suspicion that Eddie might be in the wrong type of rehab. His EGO and decision making process is way out of line. It is interesting to me that Eddie feels he can continue to drag his lifelong fans through his psychotic behavior(Total disrespect) and once again Alex is totally out to lunch as well they obviously have totally for gotten that there fans put him where they are today. This whole scenario has been one enormous dissapointment. I do not even wish them any luck I am done!(Fan of 25 yrs)Adios
