Dwyer & Michaels—the morning DJs for Davenport, Iowa-based classic-rock radio station Q106.5—have posted at their website their latest phone conversation with Eddie Van Halen, during which they discussed some pictures of Eddie that were taken at an Oscar Party last month.

After viewing the photos—a few of which reveal that the guitarist’s teeth have gotten a bit gnarly—some fans speculated that the dental condition may have been the result of drug use.

“Because of cancer, my teeth are all fucked up,” Ed said. “Cuz I got six of ’em yanked, ya know? They gotta focus on that and say I’m doing crystal meth. Gimme a fucking break. Hey, my teeth are fucked up.”

As many of you probably know, Eddie underwent surgery and treatment for oral cancer a few years back.

Ed went on to say that the female companion shown with him in the Oscar pics is a friend who owns the West Hollywood flower shop House of Petals, which he was helping her publicize.
